Excellent buying experience for my new 2016 RAM 1500 Limited w/ mods! -> Be sure to go with Joe and Ian! — My story: As I was moving from Excellent buying experience for my new 2016 RAM 1500 Limited w/ mods! -> Be sure to go with Joe and Ian! — My story: As I was moving from Europe to Canada, I tool this opportunity to drive one kind of car I always wanted to drive: a truck (in France, Germany and Switzerland, driving a truck is pretty much rare and not really convenient because of its size). My (Canadian) wife could not believe this as we met one year ago in Italy as I always drove some nice sport cars and convertibles until now. Anyway after a lot of research on the web and in many truck forums, I decided to get the truck I always wanted a dodge RAM. And in this case a fully loaded 2016 RAM 1500 4x4 Hemi 5.7 Limited. CC, 6”4 bed, 3.91 gear ratio, limited slip differential, sunroof, steps, chrome etc… But although the Limited trim level has got all kind of bells and whistles, I also wanted to have some modifications on it (i.e. Mopar CAI, Mopar cat-back exhaust, EVTS GPS alarm, AT-tires, Bedrug bedliner, Retrax tonneau cover, EBC brake pads, performance sport hood, etc…) as I don’t like to drive stock cars. You only have one life, so the best is to enjoy it the way you want ;-) However my 30 years of experience with car manufacturers (even with some Porsche 911 TurboS, Mercedes SL AMG, Ferrari 360 and BMW M3) taught me that even if you buy a very expensive and very good car, one of the most important part is the dealer you choose: It means actually the salesperson, the owner and the service team with their mechanics. So I had to find a good dealership in the region and I checked therefore several Dodge dealerships in Vancouver and in the Fraser valley. I actually met Joe on the parking lot during a quite cold and rainy day just before New Year’s day as I walked through the parking lot with my wife. I actually told him that I was just looking as I would buy a truck only in 6 months but he still took the time to answer all my questions and walk through the parking lot without trying to sell me anything. I could tell that Joe just doesn’t use these „hard selling” methods. He is just a nice, competent and honest guy with a lot of experience (to be honest, I would really consider hiring him if you need such an experienced salesperson in your team as he will also really enhance your sales team; but I doubt however that he will leave this dealership with Ian). Anyway, during the second round of my checks for a good dealership to which I will finally give the deal, I visited Joe again. He listened carefully to me and took note of all my wishes and the pricing was finalized within 10 minutes with him and Ian and the deal was made. This way I was able to order the truck and all the modifications I wanted from Dodge Maple Ridge. No hassle to find another car shop etc…and in case of problems, it is better for me to have only one dealer/ person to deal with. The most difficult part was then to wait for the delivery of my factory ordered truck. It usually takes between 8 and 12 weeks for factory orders. Luckily it was only 8 weeks which shows that Dodge Maple Ridge/ Joe/ Iam sent the order right away and order many trucks I suppose. And as I could trace the journey of my factory ordered truck step by step from the order, its built date, the quality control, shipment date and transport from Warren/ US to Maple Ridge with an employee of FCA US (check the Dodge RAM forums), I could see that all the information that I regularly received from Joe matched the one I received from the FCA guy. This is the way you feel confident with whom you are dealing with. I told you Joe is reliable and honest. No BS. My truck came then exactly as ordered (not always the case for some people/ orders I figured out in the forums) and one day after arrival at the dealership I could already drive my truck! :-) Joe took the time to explain us the truck (so that my wife feels more confident having me spent so much money on a truck). He made the whole purchase also very enjoyable for my wife. And 2 weeks after, I drove my truck with all the modifications done. And what seems easy for us as a buyer is not necessary easy for the dealer or the salesperson as the parts have to be ordered, checked and installed on the truck. There are nowadays so many product numbers depending on the model year etc… that you can easily make a mistake. Anyway all was installed and was working fine :-) BTW, if you purchase a Hemi 5.7 I can confirm you that the Mopar CAI/ Mopar cat-back exhaust is really nice: nice sound and no drone at all when cruising; you will love it and your wife will love it also :-) And if you would like to protect your car/ truck against thieves, the Mopar EVTS GPS alarm is a really efficient security measure. Together with the Silver or Gold plan, you really can trace it from everywhere (also you kids driving too fast etc….) ---—> In the summary, it was a smooth order along with a smooth communication with Joe. And a enjoyable truck to drive. My wife and myself have been so pleased with the whole process with Joe that we have given him and his wife a nice bottle of French wine (a nice Bordeaux). I hope they will enjoy. --> So if you want to have a reliable dealership and a smooth order, delivery and communication, just go for Dodge Maple Ridge and Joe. I can warmly recommend it/ him!
