Tom Moore at Kitchener Nissan is the only person you need to talk to if you’re looking for a Nissan. We’re from out of town, but we had a great experience buying a car from him last month. When we were in need of a second car just a few weeks later he was my first call. I appreciate his (genuine) friendly attitude and (genuine) easy approach to the whole car sales process. The Sales Manager Deepak also seems to share this same approach. There’s no high pressure tactics, no “let me pretend to talk to my manager”, no cr&p with him. He just wants to get you into a car you will enjoy with as little hassle as possible. Instead of trying to maximize his immediate commission you can tell he’s the type of salesperson who understands that a happy customer will come back, and one who will send their friends/family/neighbours to him. Yet another 5 star review for Tom Moore… There’s a reason why there’s no variation in this guy’s reviews - he simply gets it. He gets the buying process from the customer’s point of view. He gets what it’s like to be on the other side of the table. He gets that being a decent human being can earn him more in commission than being the typical sleezy car sales person. We live over an hour away so I did the initial conversation by phone, drove in to see the car and work out the numbers, then drove back in to pick up the car. Definitely worth the time commitment on my side. Yes, I got a fair price, but that’s to be expected. But it’s Tom’s attitude and genuine sense of care that made it clear I should invest a total of 5 hours driving (over 2 visits) to deal with him instead of going to a dealership nearby that’s walking distance. There’s no xx with this guy. Just call him, tell him what your constraints are, and he’ll tell you whether or not he can help. No “let me spend 10 minutes pretending to talk with my manager”, no upselling, none of the typical xx that makes me woozy just thinking about buying a car. To top it off - after making the sale… after knowing his commission is secure… this is the time that other sales people move on, Tom stayed on. He spent almost an hour today showing us around our new car, all the fancy tech stuff that would have taken me much longer to figure out myself. He did this AFTER we paid him, when a simple handshake would suffice. Thanks Tom. If ever the words “Nissan” or “new car” come up in conversation I’ll be passing along your info and let the person know it’s worth the drive to Kitchener. More
