I walked into other Kia dealership Cardinal Kia and the sales rep looked at me as if I didn't know what I was talking about. Jo knew about it and it was the only thing that we talked about for good 10 minutes. I asked him if he could locate a luxury SX package for me and he did so in less than three hours. I booked an appointment to see the actual car. When I arrived he was getting out of the car after washing it by himself! Jo, thank you very much for meeting my expectations and delivering everything that I asked for. More
Pushy Sales Tactics If I could of given no stars at all for this dealership I would have. I walked into the dealership and waited almost 20 mins before someone came to talked to me and they didn't seem busy at all. The sales person Sami helped us and right away I felt like all he cared about was making a deal. He hardly had any people skills what so ever and even trying to make a conversation with him would always lead back to making a deal. I know its their job but really part of being a great sales person is being easy to talk to and making the customer feel at ease. My wife and I felt rushed and uneasy in that place but thats ok we went to the Hyundai dealership down the street and bought a Sante Fe from them because they have amazing customer service. I have told many people about our experience there and even heard similar stories. I am sure they read these brush it off when they should actually take them seriously. More

I had a wonderful experience with all of the staff, all so nice and willi In September of 2015 I purchased a 2015 Kia Forte from Kia of St Catharines. I had a wonderful experience with all of the staff, all so nice and willing to help as it was also my first car purchase. Today, I was pleased to go visit the dealership once again to have my cars first oil change done, and as I expected I got to see some great faces again and a wonderful time spent. My oil change was done within an hour and I got to catch up with a great employee Sam (who also sold me my car). This dealership is really a friendly fun place to be. Thank you Kia of St Catharines. P.S. To the future customers that read these reviews... When you go ahead and read everything negative about this dealership please don't let it cloud your judgment because all of the times I have been back to the dealership I have received more then wonderful service. I can say that some people may just be a bit to sensitive to some certain suggestions that they make but they are all doing it within your best interest in mind. I work in a sales environment to and we are all just their to help. Bad reviews are just people needing to rant about something because they are bored. More
Double Bait'n'Switch, beware of the car salesman! I was due for a new leased vehicle and at the same time my wife was coming up on a milestone birthday so I let her chose our next vehicle. After month I was due for a new leased vehicle and at the same time my wife was coming up on a milestone birthday so I let her chose our next vehicle. After months of looking she fell head over heels over the Kia Soul limited edition two tone SX. So we decided and proceeded to our local Kia dealership. If it wasn't for the fact that my wife loved this car so much I would have walked (ran) after the first deception. In our initial discussion with the sale rep we told him exactly what we wanted; the 2-tone red/white Soul SX with a sunroof and a in-dash navigation system, auto and power windows. These were all must haves. He gave us a key to try the demonstrator so we went out and took a test drive. When we came back he showed us one of the demonstrators with the sunroof. When then, for a second time told him that our must-haves were: 2-tone red/white Soul SX with a sunroof and a in-dash navigation system, auto and power windows. Any other upgrades were not necessary. He sat us by his desk and checked his computer and told us that there was 1 vehicle left with exactly what we wanted. We asked if we could see it and take it out. He told us that it was off site and that the only way that they could bring it to this location was if we signed an offer to buy or lease. After discussing it with my wife, she loved the car, I agreed to meet with the finance person and signed an offer to lease. The sales rep then told me that he would call me in 2 days when he confirmed that the vehicle could be located and delivered. 2 days later he called me and told me to come in because he had good news. When I came in he told me that they can't get the red/white with our required options but we need to upgrade to the EX model and that one only came in red/black or grey/black. My wife and I were extremely upset because he lied to us about there being a red/white with the navigation and sunroof. He sat us down and after calming down we agreed to give up on the sunroof but it was imperative that we have a navigation system installed. He told us that they (Kia) does not install the navigation systems anymore. Once again he pushed us to purchase the EX model but we told him that we were are not interested and need to think about it. We went home and we decided to look into having the nav system installed ourselves so we called around and got quotes from numerous companies to install a system. He called us back the next day and told us that he spoke with his manager and that they were willing to have the in-dash navigation installed for us for and additional $1400. He asked us to come in to finalize everything. When we came in to go through everything and sitting at his desk someone came over to speak with us and asked us which navigation system was being installed. We were confused about this and asked the sales rep the same question. He told us that they are removing the rear view mirror and replacing it with a mirror with a Navigation/backup camera system in it. Being very angry again we asked him why they were putting that one in when we agreed on an in-dash and how much did this one cost. He told us again that they (Kia) does not install the in-dash units and that this one cost $1400. We told him that we did not want the mirror one and now we have to think about it again. We went home and I researched this mirror navigation system and found out that the price for these range from $199-$599 for the top of the line model. I became extremely upset so I called the Grimsby dealership. The sales manager there said that they has a red/white SX and they can also install an in-dash model for us. We made arrangement to go there the next day. The next day I called the sales rep in St. Catharines and told him how upset and angry we were and that we decided not to purchase from him. He then told me that he was sorry, that Kia came out with new models this year and that he was not up to date on everything. He told us that his manager agreed to have the in-dash Navigation installed, they would give us winter floor mats and a gift card to the Keg for our troubles. I agreed to come in and continue with him but warned him that we will "walk away" if there are any other problems. When I came in a couple of weeks to pick up the vehicle he told me that all was good and that the gift card was in a demo model which was off the lot but he would have it to me by the end of the day. 2 weeks passes and no gift card. I called him and he apologized, he went to purchase one and delivered it to our house........If I treated anyone in my business like the way my wife and I were treated (I am a licenced Realtor) not only would I be sued by the client and fined by RECO I probably would lose my licence. I am totally disgusted on how my wife and I were subjected to the "bait and switch" twice and lied to numerous time. I will never purchase another vehicle from this location and I tell everyone I meet about our experience there. More

They were very friendly and helpful and I didn't feel any pressure from them to make the sale. My first car from this dealership was a 2013 Kia Rio and am very happy with it. The second vehicle was a used Honda and they were able to refurbish the front bumper which had a lot of stone chips and it looks practically brand new. I also feel that I paid a fair price for both vehicles. I am referring my nephew to this dealership, who has been shopping for a car for a while. Finance people were also very easy to work with. Overall, very satisfied. More

It was refreshing to meet Derrick Tomlinson and deal with Kia of St. Catharines as they were professional, friendly and courteous. We purchased our first vehicle there and then the second vehicle was purchased there within 30 days. Without hesitation, I would recommend Derrick Tomlinson and Kia of St. Catharines! It has the 60 North winter package which has already paid for itself with this winter. As a young adult, I was hesitate about purchasing a brand new car. That feeling did not last. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. My overall experience was pleasant and comfortable. What impressed me the most about my experience is how Chris and went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with my purchase. They then went even further to ensure that in the future I would be in the best possible position for trade- in, refinancing. This show they cared about the customer, my experience and my future interactions, not just about making a sale. I recommend KIA of St. Catharines with the highest of regards. More
It was the same old story.... I'd been to many dealerships (from Niagara Falls to the GTA) looking to update my vehicle but got very mixed reviews on the level of customer service that i was given dealerships (from Niagara Falls to the GTA) looking to update my vehicle but got very mixed reviews on the level of customer service that i was given. My old vehicle was a 2002 Saturn SC1 (which was in very good shape may i add) but as soon as i rolled onto a forecourt most salesman turned the other way because they made the assumption that i had very little money to spend. Those that did weren't even interested in asking me what my needs were, they purely tried pushing me into a brand new vehicle. Needless to say i went to some of the major players on the market including Honda, Mazda, Toyota and Hyundai which really surprised me when i received the level of service i did. KIA on the other hand was a whole new experience fulfilling all of my needs and making sure i remained fully satisfied throughout the sales process. KIA was the only garage that made the effort to contact me when there was a potential vehicle but at the same time i was never pressured to buy the vehicle. After reviewing several vehicles with KIA they managed to come up trumps with the exact vehicle i was looking for. It ended up being a 2011 KIA Forte EX which ticked all the boxes i was looking for including their warranty and servicing package. I did end up spending more than i would've liked, but the level's this KIA garage went to were over and above my expectations!! I have to give a big thank-you to the team at KIA St. Catharines but more importantly Nav and Eric for their hard work and perseverance as i'm not the easiest person to please! More
