My vehicle was brought in on a recall for parts that I knew needed replacing because just before I got the recall notice my vehicle had been in at my usual garage for service and was told about the proble knew needed replacing because just before I got the recall notice my vehicle had been in at my usual garage for service and was told about the problem the same day. The recall was for the lower front control arm (complete)and in the end I was told I needed the ball joint assembly also and was charged for it. I was told by my mechanic that the ball joint assembly is part of the complete lower front control arm assembly so I went on line to check and sure enough it is. I was also given a list of all sorts of other things that they said should be done with prices twice that of what I would normally pay and some jobs were totally unnecessary. If I would have just said do what you need I would have paid over $1000. for unnecessary work. I guess i got off lucky for paying $199.28 for the work that should have been part of the recall. More
