Took my 2014 sorento to the service department for a diagnosis. It has over heated for an all 2 seconds it shot up and went straight back down. Cabin was blowing cold air and pressure in the rad but not diagnosis. It has over heated for an all 2 seconds it shot up and went straight back down. Cabin was blowing cold air and pressure in the rad but not enough to pop the cap and absolutely no leaks. Kia is literally 1.9 km from my house so I drove it there with no issues aside from cabin cold. I was given my car back with a blown head gasket due to severe overheating. No proper break down of the steps they took or pictures of the diagnosis done. They cooked my car and will not accept responsibility. More
I purchased my 2019 Kia Sorento SXL, 56,800 km from Kia West Edmonton and always got my vehicle serviced there over the last 5 years. The 5 year 100,000 km warranty ended on July 12, 2023. Never had to u West Edmonton and always got my vehicle serviced there over the last 5 years. The 5 year 100,000 km warranty ended on July 12, 2023. Never had to use the warranty once. Then in September I got an error on my dash that the headlights Dynamic Bending was not working. When driving at night it is now hard to see as the lights are not lined up correctly. They assessed that the right headlight assembly needed to be replaced. They quoted my $4500 (which is Crazy expensive!) and said it was not a warranty item as it expired in July. The service department told me that this was a common problem with the Sorento. The Kia Stinger had a recall in the USA for their Dynamic Bending lights, but nothing for the Sorento. I appealed to Kia Canada and they said I would have to work out a deal with the dealership. West Edmonton Kia would do nothing for me. I will never buy another Kia and I will never deal with West Edmonton Kia again. More
Brought in my kia for repairs. They claimed they couldn't find anything wrong. Billed me 1000.00. Two days later my car is having the exact same issues plus more. They claimed they couldn't find anything wrong. Billed me 1000.00. Two days later my car is having the exact same issues plus more. More
I bought a Kia Soul less than 2 months ago and it has just over 1500kms on it. I bought it at Go Kia South with dealer-installed winter tires with rims. The first time I took it on a highway at 100 km/h just over 1500kms on it. I bought it at Go Kia South with dealer-installed winter tires with rims. The first time I took it on a highway at 100 km/h I noticed a vibration (I assumed wheel balancing). I called Kia West. They want to charge me for "diagnostics" AND to re-balance dealer-installed wheels because "it's not covered under warrantee". Apparently Kia doesn't guarantee their work! And apparently Kia West doesn't give a xxxx about customer service! More

I usually have a good experience with this dealership but this time they really missed the mark. I had taken my car for an alignment and was shown that the fault was with some worn out bushings. Since I have this time they really missed the mark. I had taken my car for an alignment and was shown that the fault was with some worn out bushings. Since I have extended warranty I took it to West Ed Kia and asked for it to be fixed. I was told I needed to pay an "inspection fee" as well as the deductible for warranty work. I did, and as expected they agreed the bushings were shot and would replace them. They never returned that inspection fee though. Every Kia dealer I asked stated the fee is only applicable when there is not a warrantable issue. I had an issue covered by warranty, I brought an independent diagnosis along with pictures of the issue. " Inspection" was done for them and they still felt it necessary to gouge me. Any other dealer in Edmonton does not have this outrageous and purely frivolous fee. If you need warranty service I very strongly suggest you avoid Paul and his service departments blatant cash grab. UPDATE: I finally had a chance to speak with Ryan, he informed me that Paul has the final say in everything service. I mentioned I would be contacting AMVIC next, he laughed, said "knock yourself out" and hung up. As a former AMVIC inspector, I am happy to put that ball in motion for you Ryan. Arrogance can be very costly... More
