I am extremely disappointed in the service I’ve received over the past month at Kanata Honda. While I appreciate that they provide an Uber/taxi while a car is in service, good customer service must go far b over the past month at Kanata Honda. I initially brought my vehicle in for what I believed were recall-related issues. Instead of checking for recalls first, the service advisor immediately warned me that I would be charged for diagnostics if no recall codes appeared—even though I had already completed diagnostics in London, Ontario and provided them with the codes. In my experience, when a vehicle has a recall concern, diagnostics should not come at a cost. Thankfully, the codes confirmed two recalls, so I wasn’t charged. I was told the recall repairs were a “big job” requiring the transmission to be removed. While the car was in their shop, I received a call informing me that they had accidentally damaged another part during the transmission removal. They assured me that they would replace the damaged part at no cost. When I picked up my vehicle a few days later, everything seemed fine—until the next day when I discovered fluid leaking all over my driveway. I called Kanata Honda, returned the vehicle, and was later told the issue was resolved and that a seal had been replaced. The following day, the leak returned. I brought the car back yet again. After keeping it for a longer period this time, they finally called to say the repair would cost me around $1,300, claiming the leak was due to “wear and tear” because my vehicle is “old.” My vehicle is not even 10 years old, and as someone who has owned multiple Hondas throughout my life (Prelude, Civic, CR-V, and now a Pilot), I chose Honda for its reputation of durability. If major parts begin to fail before 10 years, that’s deeply concerning—and certainly not the standard Honda claims to uphold. I made it clear that my car was not leaking at all when I first brought it in. Their response? “We don’t know that it wasn’t.” But the vehicle was in their shop for days, lifted, with the transmission removed. If a leak existed before the repair, they would have seen it and notified me—yet no one mentioned any such issue. Both service staff I spoke with gave vague and inconsistent explanations and were unable to clarify why the leak suddenly appeared only after their work. They could not “make me understand what the problem was,” nor could they confirm whether the vehicle had any leak prior to the initial service. Logically, if the car was on a hoist and the transmission was removed and sitting on the bench, any existing leak should have been obvious. Yet I was made to feel as though I simply “didn’t understand mechanics,” rather than being provided with a clear and honest explanation. At this point, I have serious trust issues with Kanata Honda. The situation feels dishonest and unsettling, and I’m left unsure how to move forward or who will actually fix the problem they caused. My advice: If you value transparency, honesty, and peace of mind, take your vehicle to a different Honda service centre. My experience at Kanata Honda has been incredibly frustrating and expensive—and I would not recommend them based on this service. More

Disappointed with Kanata Honda’s After-Sales Support My sister recently purchased a brand-new Honda CR-V from Kanata Honda—a vehicle she was proud to drive off the lot with only 10 km on it. At appx 5,000 km later, serious transmission-related error codes appeared, warning that the vehicle could no longer maintain high speeds. These are major driveline concerns on a brand-new car. She contacted Kanata Honda calmly and respectfully, fully understanding that even new vehicles can have issues. What she didn’t expect was the dismissive response. The dealership offered a diagnostic appointment a month later, despite the car being undriveable. When she asked if a loaner or rental could be provided—given that this is her only vehicle—she was flatly told they "don’t do that." No support. No urgency. No accountability. Thankfully, Cornwall Honda recognized the seriousness of the situation and booked her in the very next day. That’s the level of customer care you expect when you spend $63,000 on a vehicle. Kanata Honda seriously dropped the ball. If you're considering buying from them, be prepared: the service seemingly ends the moment you drive off the lot. More
This is probably one of the sleaziest dealerships there is. They book appointments and when you get there, you are told the appointment is just to check in your vehicle. Then you are told you have to wait for upto 2 hrs for something as simple as a tire swap for tires on rims, which should take no more than 15-20 mins. I really hope Honda and all manufacturers take a page from Tesla’s book and abandon the franchised dealership model. Franchised dealerships still operate as if they are in the 70s. Sleazy, dishonest and just pure xxxx! More

As a loyal costumer who recently purchased a brand new HR- formally express my disappointment with the service I received at your service department. As a loyal costumer who recently purchased a brand new HR-V from your dealership in March 2024, I expected a level of professionalism and efficiency that unfortunately was not met. In June 2024, after 3 months of purchase, I noticed that the HPD kit trim on my vehicle was loosening. I scheduled an appointment to have it replaced, and I even received a confirmation message for my booking. However, upon arriving for my scheduled appointment, I was informed by one of your service agents that there was no record of my appointment, and I would need to book another one. Despite showing my confirmation message , the agent refused to acknowledge the error or provide assistance. Thankfully Adam intervened and managed to get the car checked. After the inspection, I was told that the necessary parts would be ordered, and I would be contacted when they arrived. Since then, I have received no updates. After waiting for a considerable amount of time, I called yesterday March 28, 2025 to book an appointment for the part replacement. To my frustration, the agent told me to bring the car back for another inspection before ordering the parts- despite the fact that my car had already been checked twice. This unnecessary delay and lack of communication are unacceptable. To make things worse, after realizing that bringing my car was unnecessary, I called multiple times, requested a call back and left a message but no one returned my calls. I attempted to call at least 5 more times, but my calls went unanswered. This level of service is extremely disappointing. As a paying customer, I expect a clear communication, professionalism, and efficiency-none of which I have experienced. I kindly asked the management of Kanata Honda to address this matter with your service department and ensure that your staff is properly trained in handling customer concerns. No customer should go through such FRUSTRATION and INCONVENIENCE over a part replacement. I would appreciate a prompt resolution to this matter, as I still need my HPD kit trim replaced. More
We purchased our 2018 CRV at Kanata Honda and had to bring it in due to Fuel Pump recall. The mechanic noticed the Air Conditioner had a leak and informed us that it was still under warranty. Bought a Honda civic at kanata Honda - love the car - sales person was great- my problem was with some service I had on a tire - I had a tire fixed - the next day tire was flat - I called two consecutive sales person was great- my problem was with some service I had on a tire - I had a tire fixed - the next day tire was flat - I called two consecutive days to ask on advice to get it fixed - both days I called at least five times and no answer - when I did get thru I got a person who took my name and number and told me I would get a call back before the end of the day! I have never got a call back and that was over a week ago! I know it’s a busy time of year but a call doesn’t take that long!!! Does it!! Also I have a recall on a safety issue with fuel - and they told me it could be scheduled for Jan 21st - really a safety recall and not able to do for a month!! I really frustrated with lack of follow-up calls and length of time to a safety recall! Time to deal elsewhere!!! More
