Our 2019 F150 broke down on the highway at a gas station by Truro on a Sunday evening, we were 4 hours from home so ended up in a local motel. Had the trucked towed to Hollis. We were back on the road by 12 by Truro on a Sunday evening, we were 4 hours from home so ended up in a local motel. Had the trucked towed to Hollis. We were back on the road by 12:30 Monday, starter went, they diagnosed, had the part in stock and did the installation. Called us at each stage to let us know how things were progressing. FANTASTIC. Would give 6 stars for that level of service!!! More

I have lived in Truro my entire life, I have three Trucks, 4 trailers, and lots of equipment. That being said I’ve been to dozens of different service centres and repair shops for various work dependi Trucks, 4 trailers, and lots of equipment. That being said I’ve been to dozens of different service centres and repair shops for various work depending on what I needed done and never before have I had an experience like I did with Hollis Ford and the service Manager Gary Walker. Where I have a 6.0 power stroke , I thought the ford dealership would be the best place to take it for diagnosing a no start issue, but I was sadly wrong. They will throw parts on your truck that they will tell you you need, and once they do that they will call you and say sorry your truck still doesn’t run we will have to try this part. I was told I needed a new ipr valve, stand pipes, dummy plugs, and an stc fitting. After doing further research on my truck, and having other mechanics look at the parts that were replaced, none of them were necessary, with o rings all still in tact. The ipr was only 6 months old and the stand pipes they took out already had the O rings all replaced 6 months prior, and were not connected to the high pressure oil leak that I was dealing with. In hindsight I should have clued in right from the get go that their diagnosis was wrong. It turned out that even the stc fitting they took off my truck was already the upgraded version that doesn’t fail. I wouldn’t have known had it been for the fact I asked for all my old parts back. If I had looked at the parts prior to getting the bill I wouldn’t be in this situation. The Truck had a top blown off an injector and if they had just pressure tested the system with air like ford recommends none of this would have happened. They even tried telling me after it was all said and done my high pressure oil pump needed replacement( which they removed from the truck already to replace the parts listed above). Thank goodness I didn’t let them do that. So now I am out thousands of dollars and two tow truck fees due to their incompetence plus the proper repair done at another shop. I wouldn’t be so upset if the service Manager Gary wasn’t one of the rudest people I’ve dealt with. He doesn’t like being questioned and gets annoyed if you want to speak to a mechanic to ask questions. I will be contacting Ford Canada to make a complaint and have spoken to several others that have had similar problems at Hollis ford who are willing to file complaints as well. More

Due to the fact that I have been buying GM's for so long, I didn't make it an easy sale for Garnet. Garnet took me through all the technical aspects of the vehicle answering every question to my satisfaction. (and there were many}. The Test Drive sealed the deal.
