Friendly, reasonable and very very diligent with covid related precautions. Jesse and Megan were great to work with and made me feel comfortable. We came from 2.5 hrs away to purchase our vehical. With that, we had a lot of questions ahead of our appointment time which Malik answered. He went above and beyond during COVID to give us a video conference walk through of the vehicle, prior to making the trip. He was available any time we needed through text. Guelph Hyundai worked on our vehicle to get all paperwork ready along with CPO and detailing before our arrival so that we could do a trade off of vehicles the same day. We were thankful they accommodated us with this request to only make 1 trip. Stacey was very knowledgeable and wonderful to work with and explained everything to us over the phone in terms we could understand. The only thing we wish we had of known about prior to seeing the papers was the Finance Contract Fee as we had not budgeted for this. Overall, we were extremely pleased with the service of Guelph Hyundai and their employees to make this large purchase as easy as possible. Thanks! More

negative experience We decided to purchase online during the covid closure, and our experience wasn't great. Reduced staff and hours made it difficult for us to reach the We decided to purchase online during the covid closure, and our experience wasn't great. Reduced staff and hours made it difficult for us to reach the people we needed to speak with, and made communication a challenge. Car prices were apparently non-negotiable as they were already reduced, so instead we agreed to a discount on snow tires. When we learned we could get them cheaper from our family mechanic we asked Hyundai for another incentive in lieu, and were told they wouldn't offer us anything. Since the car was a good deal, and we love the Accent we currently have, we decided to go ahead with the purchase, given that the 5-day return policy would give us a chance to test drive thoroughly and have our mechanic check it out. Upon delivery, we noticed the front tires were pretty worn, and the next day our tech said that the front rotors and brake pads needed replacement. It appears that the car just squeaked by on the safety inspection. We brought this to the attention of the sales manager, who insisted that it passed the safety and refused to do the brake job. Our only option was to return it. We were so frustrated with the whole process by that point, and by the possibility of facing similar obstacles at another dealership, that we decided to keep it, and now within a week of owning the car we need to spend $500+ to replace the grinding brakes. Not pleased. Used cars will have normal wear and tear, but as a courtesy it should not have been sold as is. New front brakes could have been reflected in the initial price, we would have happily paid it, and would have felt much better about the service we received while making this major purchase. More
