After expressing interest in a car verbally on the phone with a salesperson and confirming the price, two days later (on the day we were to test drive it) the price was increased by $1000. This is something I only found out when I went on the website to check the address. Even when talking with the salesperson that day, he did not mention they had upped the price. When speaking to the sales manager, he said they raised it $1000 with no notice because it needed a new headlight and “some brake work” (so, if I had purchased it 2 days earlier they would have sold a car to me with a bad headlight and brakes?). The sales manager also said this was “standard practice” with them. So, I write this review to alert others about this practice so they know what kind of dealership they are working with in advance. Buying a vehicle at this time is just crazy, we have been looking for almost 3 months and finally we narrowed it down to buying a big family vehicle. When I called him to ask about the battery he flat out told me that I probably left the accessory on Not. We all know that batteries can be at the end of their lives as was obviously mine. Mini batteries are tricky to access so this one's going to cost me. I'm on the island. Sunny is in Surrey. Recently financed a 2010 Camaro from Go North Surrey GM. The vehicle was delivered 3 weeks later than promised. The car was delivered via the ferry to Vancouver Island with dashboard errors regarding broken The vehicle was delivered 3 weeks later than promised. The car was delivered via the ferry to Vancouver Island with dashboard errors regarding broken tire sensors, and worst of all a "Check Engine" light on the dash. I contacted the salesman Larry who advised me to take it into a mechanic/shop to have the car repaired (I still had yet to drive it) or ignore the check engine light.... I messaged the Sales Manager Luke Gelech multiple times but he has never responded to me (it's 2021 and there are still sales managers who feel this is acceptable?) So pretty much worse case scenario. I've never bought a car that needed immediate repairs, or been ignored when I've voiced my frustration over all of this. Beyond frustrated and disappointed with this team. More
