When my young daughte My family owns four Mazdas and have them all serviced at a Mazda dealer in Courtenay BC. We love the cars and get great service. When my young daughter moved to Edmonton she needed a replacement screw to hold her front license plate to the bumper after a small accident. The service advisor told her that she would need a special bolt that would cost $130 that would need to come from Vancouver. She was skeptical, so she waited until a visit back to Courtenay - where the Mazda service department there gave her a screw (not a special bolt) for free - and couldn't believe the story. She will need to get lots of work done in Edmonton on her car, but if she will be cheated over a screw, what would the dealer do when expensive repairs are needed? We will try another Mazda dealer in Edmonton for honest repairs- and so should you! More
Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Tried to buy brand new car this winter (2016) from them. When I describe my experience to friends who used to buying new cars everyone gets amazed. Tried to buy brand new car this winter (2016) from them. When I describe my experience to friends who used to buying new cars everyone gets amazed. 1) During negotiation process sales were "forgetting" the numbers from previous days quite easily. Had to bring all paperwork and printed emails with me to stay on track. 2) For some reason they didn't want to take full down payment when we signed preliminary agreement (handwritten list of accessories & b/w payment numbers). As a result I was supposed to take a delivery & sign the contract on the same day. 3) First question I heard after stepping in was whether I had license plate and insurance with me. Which told me right away that manager had no idea of what was going on (no delivery, no signed contract at that point). 4) Sales took me to the car before going to financial. And on the car that was being sold as new (11km, $30K+) we found: - quarter size dent on a door with paint chipped all the way to the metal; - two deep scratches to the metal on the hood; - half a dozen other scratches on chrome and paint, plastic on the steering wheel; - some damage on the bumper that they didn't fix before putting 3M on (I saw grey marks on the paint, but couldn't feel them with my fingers). 5) After that they seemed surprised that I didn't want to go to financial and take delivery of the car. 6) Later manager told me that it would be another week to fix the car, but refused to negotiate $600 "dealer prep" fee because "car integrity was not compromised". 7) Since manager confirmed by email that I could still pull up my $500 deposit I did exactly that next morning. Extra star for this. 8) Talked about my offer with the competition (my union has a deal with go auto), 3 other dealers had no problems matching it and adding a bunch of bonuses on top - been enjoying my car for 3 months already. DON'T BUY A CAR or GET YOUR CAR SERVICED HERE!!! I should've turned and walked away!! I bought a Mazda CX-5 from this dealership. They "promised" I would have it in a day or two...then several days I should've turned and walked away!! I bought a Mazda CX-5 from this dealership. They "promised" I would have it in a day or two...then several days later said it was ready. When I got there..I waited...and waited...then they didn't get the "registration" as promised...then overcharged me for it...then I waited for FOUR hours in the showroom to finally be taken downstairs to my car to have some newbie who nothing about my car try to show me it's features. I was beyond frustrated but quickly initialled a few things and drove away. I "purchased" the lifetime oil change package. I got the first two or three oil changes without any difficulties and had a complimentary car, as promised. THEN, I received a letter in the mail in December saying this program was CANCELLED. Ummm...you can not simply change your mind for a service paid for!! Well I called and they said it was all a misunderstanding! I had the feeling a few people called before me! I then received a letter saying it was all just a big mistake. So, I try to book my oil change with courtesy car...sorry we don't do the courtesy car anymore...and sorry but you MUST completed all the serving here in order to receive your "free" oil change. I was quoted $380 for the required servicing which included a "free tire rotation" and "free oil change". I asked for a detailed list of what I would be getting done for $380! I decided to phone around. I went to another Mazda dealership where I got everything on the list done....including a tire-rotation, oil change, and a car wash, for $120 LESS than what Webber was going to charge with the "free" oil change and "free" tire rotation! So, the FREE lifetime oil change package I PAID for is nothing but a SCAM!! Don't ever go there...crooks, I say, all of them!! More

For the life of my vehicle I have utilized this while obtaining only additional minor services as required only once fully completing their outrageously priced full services that are required at very short intervals if you drive frequently. Early on into my servicing with this company I requested confirmation if the major services were a recommendation or a requirement. I was informed by service staff at this time they were a strong recommendation not a requirement. Based on this information I chose to stop getting the full service and only get what was required to keep my vehicle running effectively. Now they have noted they enforce these major services after 96000. Even though I am a lot if Kms past this and at least a year later than this supposed enforcement point they are now noting this is a requirement. When discussing with the manager it was a circular argument where he belittled my point. Very frustrating. I was ready to leave multiple times and he kept circling back. Point taken it's your choice to enforce a policy you have left me with the impression for 3.5 years was not necessary, it my choice to go elsewhere and pay ~200$ a year for oil changes compared to the $1000 per year I would have paid to complete all your required full services. I have spend thousands if dollars at this dealership, purchasing my car and having all required work completed here. I have had service concerns before, where I have brought my car in and paid over 800 to have leaves taken out of the blower motor finally pushing the issue after my concern were disregarded upon 2 other inquiries only to receive my car back to still have the same noise and to have to take it back and lose another day to have them redo the work. I still have concerns with this motor, but the noise occurs only intermediately at this point and I don't want to waste my time for then not to be able up fix it! I have had various other concerns with my vehicle from the beginning of my purchase, too many to list... Overal dissatisfied and will never recommend, purchase or use service department again. More
Worst Service Of My Life So I bought a new Mazda Cx-5 from these crooks only to find out a few weeks later in a snow storm that my heated wiper blades are more than useless an So I bought a new Mazda Cx-5 from these crooks only to find out a few weeks later in a snow storm that my heated wiper blades are more than useless and can't see out my windshield. So I called to bring it in and they replaced just the blades on them, after arguing with me if they were covered on warranty still.. yes... on a brand new vehicle they questioned my warranty. So all good, they worked as long as I was going under 80km's but highway driving in the rain was out of the question since they didn't even stick to the windshield at all. Not exactly the best scenario to be in when you're driving through a rainstorm with a toddler in the back and can't see a xxxx thing. So I call again to bring it in. They take a spray bottle to my windshield and say they're fine, it's all in my head and I walk out of there with faulty wipers, again. Then when I booked my oil change appointment I asked them to replace the whole blade because it is not safe to be driving with cause I literally can't see out my windshield. Which they just decided to replace the blade AGAIN and CHARGE me for it, even though it's a new car covered by warranty. So after talking to the xxxxxxx in charge of that thieving xxxx hole, he decided to take off my heated wiper blades and put stock wipers on because the problem will just keep happening because apparently heated wiper blades don't work on highways is what he told me. Which I call xxxxxxxx on because I don't think people would be buying them if that were the case. So he decreased the value of my vehicle, refused to hear my suggestions for options and was just a total arrogant xxxxxxx. Oh and not to mention my rear wheel well trim just decided to pop off because apparently plastic fasteners are acceptable to keep a vehicle together. Which they obviously said something hit it, even though there's nothing ripped off or broken it literally just lost it's "fasteners" so they wanted $144 to replace the entire wheel well when all that was needed was 2 bolts and a mini mud flap which I'm sure could be purchased for under 10 dollars. This dealership should go out of business, that's how useless they are. NEVER service your vehicle here, NEVER ask them to warranty anything even if you did just drop $30,000 on a new vehicle. Cause they will suck you dry and make you pay for everything anyways. I will never be bringing my business here again and will be sure to spread the word of how xxxxty the people at this business are. Just because I'm a woman doesn't make me a moron, and that's exactly how I was treated but being the daughter of a mechanic I KNOW a rip off when I see one and that is all this was. More
Outstanding Used Car Purchase It's been a while since I've had to deal with an auto dealership and due to a frustrating prior experience I was apprehensive to say the least. So I w It's been a while since I've had to deal with an auto dealership and due to a frustrating prior experience I was apprehensive to say the least. So I went in extra observant of the sales process and concerned with the way the dealership handled me - their potential new customer. From the moment I got in the door and was greeted by the receptionist and a salesman was paged for me. I wasn't left alone for 5 minutes which was appreciated because I was already in a hurry to get back to work. I had come to see a car I had found on Go Auto and while it was parked right outside the front door the salesman wasted no time in setting up a test ride. I was very impressed with the way he monitored my interest versus the hurry he could tell I was in. In fact within thirty mins I had gone for a test drive, signed a letter of intent and heading back to work. Though I realize this is not the experience most people will be sharing when they buy a car, I can only believe that given more time they would do even better. As for the car, it was immaculate when I took it for the test drive and even cleaner when I picked it up. It had brand new winter tires on it and they even had my new plate and registration ready and waiting. Overall, I can't praise the sales process of Weber Mazda enough and I will say they outdid my expectations and I have every reason to recommend this dealer to anyone looking to buy a new or used vehicle. Great Experience at Weber Mazda I had a great experience with the Sales staff at Weber Mazda. Stacey was incredibly helpful and went out of the way to find out any information I need I had a great experience with the Sales staff at Weber Mazda. Stacey was incredibly helpful and went out of the way to find out any information I needed. I felt no pressure and was very impressed how quickly we were able to complete the sale. I had been looking for a mini for a while, I test drove this car for the first time at about 2 pm, and I picked up the car the next day by 4 pm. I have been through the car buying experience a few times and this experience was by far the best. The detailing on the car was immaculate and our salesman, Stacey, made sure I was comfortable with all the cool features before I drove off the lot. More
Outrages Service Costs I took in my 2008 Mazda 3 Sport for noise coming from the front right wheel. Booking the appointment and supplying me with a loaner car for the day wa I took in my 2008 Mazda 3 Sport for noise coming from the front right wheel. Booking the appointment and supplying me with a loaner car for the day was great.. but it ends there. It was determined that the noise was a wheel bearing and I was told both front bearings should be replaced. The final bill was $1460.12 minus the discount of $133.58 for my Go Card leaving $1326.54 for replacement of the two bearings. While my car was being worked on I checked with two other service centers for their costs to replace the two bearings and both prices came in right around $800.00 and that included a four wheel alignment (no alignment was done by Weber). I asked the Service Advisor why such a high cost ($660.00 difference and no alignment) and she said that is what the book said and there was nothing she could do. I would caution anyone who is thinking about getting service work done by Weber Mazda to think twice and get estimates from other service centers first. It could save you half the costs. More
Nice front desk service people, horrible prices I took my 2007 Mazda 3 GT, 5 Door HB for a sound coming from the rear. They called me 2 hrs later after I was shuttled to work that both my rear sprin I took my 2007 Mazda 3 GT, 5 Door HB for a sound coming from the rear. They called me 2 hrs later after I was shuttled to work that both my rear spring were broken and my front right factory standard oil shock was blown and leaking. They also said my brakes were down to 4mm and I should get them down before 2mm wear point. Quote for the rear spring - only $100 deductible as I had purchased 1st Canadian 3rd party warranty (Car was purchased from Wheaton Honda almost 2 years before this inspection). We have bad roads so I had blown 2 springs and one front shock by just doing only 15,000 Km. Quote for the front shocks - $1200 Brakes in the front - $650. Post rear spring wheel alignment - $160 I was in for some heavy duty fixing but hey it's used car that I bought with 100k on it. I got the springs done, and then told them, if I was going to do the front shocks at a different time, I would need another alignment anyway so I passed on that. Took my car directly to my personal mechanic's shop, Got the Front Shocks done for only $750 and he even put in high end KYB shocks with lifetime warranty. The shop charge per hour comparing my own mechanic to Weber was $120. It being a 3.5 hour job, the price should only be a difference of $105, right? But NO! Not even with my high end KYB shocks in there and the same amount of labour, the price difference was $450! Even if I paid Mazda service Hourly rates I should be out only an extra $100 with a difference of $350. So where is this nearly $450 going?? Over charge much? I got Canadian Tire to do my alignment for $105. Compared to Weber's $165 and Kaltire's $130. My mechanic was going to do my Brakes for only $400. So you tell me, where is all this extra up charging coming from? Ridiculous More
They changed a lot in the last few months Services has changed a lot in the last few months. you have to be careful about what you the work order you signed when you drop your car, don't go by Services has changed a lot in the last few months. you have to be careful about what you the work order you signed when you drop your car, don't go by promises because simply when they charge you they will tell you that promise was wrong, we go by your signature. another tip: never buy the protection package it is just a waste of money, when I purchased it they told me they will clean the car (bronze package) and I can upgrade to silver but it ended to be wrong promise. got some mud on the back of my seat. didn't clean when I asked them to clean it especially it can be cleaned easily they said they can not although I have the fabric protection.
