The Holidays have passed, and my BMW X3 is back home where it belongs. As stated in my previous pre-Christmas evaluation I had an appointment scheduled for fluid/filter/serpentine belt replacement. Unbe where it belongs. As stated in my previous pre-Christmas evaluation I had an appointment scheduled for fluid/filter/serpentine belt replacement. Unbeknownst to me and certainly not requested, Elite undertook a 55 point inspection for which they charged me and did not refund. This 55 point unrequested inspection indicated specific front end/rear end work was required. when the mechanics list came back to me via my advisor, listed beside every item was a note that my car was unsafe to drive and be on the road until this specified work work was carried out. I brought the mechanics notes to the service advisor's attention, who immediately insisted that I sign a declaration verifying my car was unsafe to drive. I refused and was accused by the advisor of being uncooperative. In order to protect my driver's licence and my insurance, I was left with no alternative but to have the work performed. Between the work I had originally requested and the work that I had no alternative but to have performed, my total bill , two days before Christmas was over $7000. The service Mgr. claims to have given my a break, due to the fuss I caused, by giving me a $2000. discount. During our lengthy discussion, he also asked me if I was a Christian?? He said he would pray for me and my wife. To this day, I do not know how Christianity comes into having ones vehicle serviced, because when my request for service was prepared, nowhere on the work order was a request for spiritual guidance, enlightenment or redemption. If this type of unscrupulous behavior is passed on to a Christian, I shudder to think what level of service service I would have received if I had confessed to being a Jew or a Muslim. From my original work list the transmission was to have fluid and filter changed. This work never did take place. I have made two requests to have the transmission serviced, preferably as a courtesy, I have not heard back and until this final work is performed to my satisfaction, it is my intention to escalate is issue further. The service/parts replacement during my recent service visit turned out to be a very long list. The price was very high, and we're not finished yet. My BMW which has only 70,000 miles, which to me is in visit turned out to be a very long list. The price was very high, and we're not finished yet. My BMW which has only 70,000 miles, which to me is in excellent, A+++ condition seems to need a lot of replacement items to which I have no verifiable proof need to be replaced. I took the car in initially for fluid changes, serpentine belt and air filter. The list that came back that was not fluid change related was a page and a half long. I asked to see the car while it was still up un the hoist, this did not happen. With the work that has been completed, coupled with the cost of items remaining to be completed, and based on the condition of my car and the relatively low mileage, I'm inclined to believe no one. I am a senior and of the old school where a five star rating is much more than a classy dealership and a sharp clean service advisor who has already asked that I give him a five star rating. Sorry but that five star rating is going to have to be somewhat delayed until I am satisfied that my car is being serviced because it is needed not because every person wandering around the dealership needs their regular paycheck. I'm over $3100. in with another $1000. tomorrow to replace a battery that has never been an issue, and a discoloured ground strap that has never been an issue. The replacement ground strap will likely be discoloured by the end of winter as it is unprotected from the elements. I fully expect to be into the complete list to the tune of seven to eight thousand dollars. I could make a lot of new car payments with that money. It's simple to see why BMW's in general have to residual value when its trade-in time or why they are so cheap when they make their second life debut on the used car lots...HAPPY MOTORING...WWM... Since 2024 until now we didn't receive the refund for a part that the service advisor (Clayton) make me buy it . He took the part back (outer axle boot) without any refund. The manager called me and he pro part that the service advisor (Clayton) make me buy it . He took the part back (outer axle boot) without any refund. The manager called me and he promissed the refund of the part and receive a credit of $100 for all the poor service received since they make me buy the part before checking the car. Afterthat, they installed another part (outer Axel boot) and they kept the inner Axel boot part until now without any refund. This practice is highly irregular. This dealership is not trustable and I would never take my car to that place for any maintenance or buy anything over there. More
