Don't Buy A Used Vehicle Here I bought a used Navigator with a 5.4L at Edson Chrysler this summer. I was told by Wendy that she didn't like the 5.4 engines because they can have p I bought a used Navigator with a 5.4L at Edson Chrysler this summer. I was told by Wendy that she didn't like the 5.4 engines because they can have problems. She also told me that she checked the engine thoroughly to ensure that it was fine. She offered me outrageously expensive insurance for the vehicle. I decided to take the vehicle because it was a good price and they assured me they checked the engine thoroughly. The engine had around 139000 km when I bought it. After about a month it started to almost stall when I put it in park after it was warm. I didn't think much of it as it would correct itself.. Just over 4000 km after I bought it the engine light came on while backing up my holiday trailer. I went to a local mechanic that diagnosed my vehicle with having problems with the cam phasers and stating that the tensioners and possibly cam shafts could be going on the vehicle. I decided to call Edson Chrysler to see if they would do anything to help me out. They said they would look at he vehicle and let me know. I called Wendy after they had a mechanic look at it and asked her what she could do for me and she said "DO FOR YOU?" and went on to say she told me she didn't like the engine and that she told me I should buy warranty. That is all true but the miscommunication was in checking the engine thoroughly. She told me at this meeting about my vehicle that they drove it longer and spent twice the amount of time they normally would to ensure the vehicle was fine. I would think thoroughly would be checking the known problems with the vehicle like the cam phasers and spark plug threading which to my understanding wasn't done. In the end they offered to replace 16 parts in the engine including the cam phasers at normal shop rate. My air conditioning and dash blend door actuator have also failed. They said they would fix my air conditioning for free. Overall it was the tone and dismissive nature of Wendy that made my experience horrible. With all that is wrong with the vehicle I will have to spend around 10000 dollars in the near future. I paid just over 20000 for the vehicle. I plan on getting my vehicle fixed somewhere else. More

Going into the dealership I had no idea how to register or insure a vehicle, since my parents had taken care of that while I was still in school. Both Christina and Amber walked me through the process and answered all my questions in a way that made sense to me. Before going into the dealership I had a preconceived idea that I would have to deal with a greasy car salesman, when in reality it was the opposite. Everyone I met at the dealership was really down to earth and just wanted to help me out however they could. More
