The service and parts departments are terrible. This last repair was 3 weeks long, with our truck unavailable to us for this time, and is the second major repair since May this year. Every time w This last repair was 3 weeks long, with our truck unavailable to us for this time, and is the second major repair since May this year. Every time we checked on the status of the part showing up we were met with excuses and deflection only to find out in the end all they needed to do and eventually did was order the part from a different dealership. Our extended warranty allowed us a rental, we tried telling the service staff we would like them to organize a rental, they said they wouldn’t until the end of the day, this was at 10am, we live out of town and had appointments that day, if it wasn’t for Brent the used sales manager going above and beyond giving us a jeep off his lot we would have missed long awaited medical appointments, after about 10 days we brought the jeep back (we offered earlier but service told us not to bother) we were then told the dealership no longer uses enterprise car rentals and provided us with a dodge hornet, this thing was so small I had to bend my head to the side to fit in, the passenger seat was loose and squeaked with each pebbled it hit, the cruise control wouldn’t work and the passenger door didn’t seal providing a unwanted draft to the passenger. When I asked for a larger loaner they refused and basically told me to suck it up. Upon finally picking up my truck from this last repair I went to jump into it to leave and the drivers seat had water all over it, the side of the seat and the door, I had them also do a tire rotation while being serviced, upon leaving I noticed that two tires were 9lbs under causing the truck to pull significantly to one side, they couldn’t see by the gauge the tires were low? It’s not part of the rotation? My biggest issue is the lack of truth, the amount of deflections, zero accountability followed by no empathy, they simply do not care. But they sure wanted to buy my truck so I could buy a new one which I probably would have and came very close BUT regardless of the excellent sales person, you need to have a symbiotic relationship with service and sales, I have zero confidence in the shop hence my next truck will probably be a Denali ultimate. I honestly feel that if I hadn’t called each time they said a part would show and reminded them I was waiting they would still have the truck as it just wasn’t a priority for them. My truck repairs were as follows with a truck that had 41,000 km on it, lifters on both sides, head gasket (replaced twice due to the first time done incorrectly giving off a gas exhaust smell in the cabin) four wheel drive actuator. I won’t even get into the fact that on our first major repair we found out after two hours of waiting our extended warranty wasn’t transferred to our name by the finance person, she did however in conversation to my wife say “my condolences for being a banker” when she asked what she did before retiring. For the record she liked her job and helped allot of people. No matter when I called I was given an excuse, told to call back or the famous line “we can’t control parts department” extremely dismissive and it rolled out of their mouths so fast and easily it showed it’s either a standard response/ pass the buck issue or if it has some evidence of truth then the manager needs to do a complete assessment of the two, make them communicate with each other? I understand the climate we live in currently, parts, service, inventory all affected but as a previous business owner myself I know how important transparency and honesty are to the survival of a business. This business has some soul searching to do but with no one with skin in the game I highly doubt anything will change except my new truck I’ll be driving from a different dealership. More
