My brand new Ford Escape which is still under full warranty began to have engine trouble. The car would rumble while idling, and rev high at inappropriate times. I took it to the dealership and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. After going back several times (the engine light kept coming back on as soon as I drove away), and the service department basically treating me like xxxx of the earth, I finally got my car back "fixed". They said there were little shards of metal in several parts of the engine, but they had no idea why. They cleaned it out of the parts they looked at. Now I have this very expensive car with very little information about what happened or why. I asked the dealership what I should do, and they said just got home and drive your car. I've been to this dealership many times over the years, and I dread going in. Unfortunately the only alternative is to drive an hour to Calgary, which is what I will be doing from now on. Good luck.
