In the last 30 years I have purchased 8 vehicles from Ford dealers in Calgary and Airdrie. The majority of which were Fords. Until recently, my dealings have been satisfactory. Cam Clark Ford in Airdrie Ford dealers in Calgary and Airdrie. The majority of which were Fords. Until recently, my dealings have been satisfactory. Cam Clark Ford in Airdrie changed that with the last vehicle I will ever purchase from Ford. This vehicle is a 2015 Ford Escape, it was purchased used from the dealership in Airdrie. It has had numerous transmission problems it has cost me about $8,000 to keep it on the road. I didn’t take it to Ford for the repairs because the warranty was up and I thought a reputable transmission shop would be the better option. Also I talked to people who had the same problems and experienced the same problems I have. Unfortunately the transmission issues were a Ford problem, the parts came from Ford and continued to break down. So I then went to Cam Clark in Airdrie and spoke to them about the issues and hoped they could help me. I spoke to the service manager who denied any knowledge of problems with these transmissions, which I find hard to believe because some of the people I know who have had issues like mine have had repairs done at Cam Clark, repeatedly. After I spoke to him, he told me he would look into it and get in touch with me soon. I waited a month and a half, and got no calls from him or anyone else at Cam Clark. So I went back to Cam Clark and asked to speak with someone else. He came out and invited me to his office, I told him I didn’t want to talk to him and left because apparently he was the only person available. I told the girl at the front desk I didn’t want to speak to him and she said she had told him that. So I would like to say she did her job and apologize for being short with her. The last thing I needed to hear was a smart mouth salesman standing around the desk tell me loudly to have a nice day as I left. Later that day I received a call from a lady wanting to speak with me regarding this issue. We exchanged voice mail messages a few times but were never able to speak directly to each other. The last call she made to me was 10 days ago, I guess she has given up. I am busy too, I have returned her calls but she is busy. I doubt she would have done much to help me but this experience has solidified my decision to never buy another Ford product. More
