May 28, 2016 Ottawa, Canada TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN My Bank Street Hyundai experience was tremendous from the first phone calls to the discussio May 28, 2016 Ottawa, Canada TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN My Bank Street Hyundai experience was tremendous from the first phone calls to the discussions and the receipt of my vehicle. As this was my first Hyundai purchase, I was obviously looking for potential issues - which will immediately cause me to avoid a dealership. My time is worth much more than the potential for aggravation. As an owner of three (3) businesses, my investment in a vehicle transcends factors of time, ease of use, reliability, and functionality. The only vehicle that met all of my strict criteria was the Santa Fe and the Limited Ultimate mitigated my safety concerns with today's driving reality of careless drivers. The safety of my staff are equally important to me and I am very impressed with the inroads Hyundai has made with their vehicles functionality and especially the companies top reliability ratings throughout North America. The scores Hyundai have achieved made my buying decision much easier. Knowing which vehicle to buy was one thing, but from which dealership was an altogether tougher issue to wrestle with. I visited 4 in the area, the last of which was Bank Street Hyundai. I was warmly greeted with on-time personnel, leading all the way up to the GM – Amir Esmailian, the Sales Manager – Mark Mollekan to the team of Louis Bouery – sales lead (who was exceptional – more about him later) and finance lead Ashur Younan. Other dealerships were good but Bank Street Hyundai wanted my business and continued to prove to me that I was important, not just for the deal but for knowing their high expectations for me getting service from their shop that would have me make the 30 minute drive just to get service there. There are 5 Hyundai dealer options closer to me than Bank Street Hyundai. The business is clean and reasonably laid out. Business is done in the open so nobody should get the feeling that they are being brought into a small room and handled… all staff are courteous and knowledgeable, professional and happy – yes, I look for that too. Best of all, I felt really good from the start of the transaction through to last Saturday morning when I came in to collect my highly prized one-of-a-kind Santa Fe Limited Ultimate with saddle leather seating. Now to Louis, what a good person – a genuine family guy who really does care about the business, his customers, Bank Street Hyundai’s customers, and of course the Hyundai products. We didn’t just talk about cars, we talked about many aspects of life that cause me comfort as a professional to know Louis is much more than a Salesman – he is the real deal … and he stands out as someone with whom I expect to be buying many more vehicles from – someone Hyundai should recognize for service excellence. Louis also took the time to understand the features of this brand new model and specifically, my cars features which delivers the highest degree of sophistication and safety. As a global leader in technology (global chair of IEEE for 802.3ae - 10GbE @1550Nm and other global products / sales exceeding US$500M annually), I know that it takes a very clever person to decipher all the new features and translate them into “people speak”, which Louis did remarkably well. When picking up the car, we had booked an hour, but it took over 3 hours – all along Louis repeated that I was his top priority, and I felt it. I left knowing I was in the best hands possible. I also had a very similar experience dealing with the finance aspect of dealing with Ashur Younan who skillfully took me through all my options and we negotiated a very good win-win deal. His clarity and handling of the details was professional and respectful. More to the point, he knew how to offer me even greater ROI value and represented these additional services with the utmost benefit. Not a tough decision on my part. Having worked with Canada’s top lawyers with multiple international law firms, on many large international deals, I was impressed with Ashur’s clarity and product positioning. It has been a week and the car is behaving perfectly. I could not be happier with my decision on the car and on the service team of Louis Bouery and Ashur Younan who took away any apprehensions I had, while leaving me knowing that if ever I call, I will be provided with the same highest level of customer care possible as I have received to date. Why customer service matters to me? Years ago, I managed Canada from Ontario to Newfoundland for the world’s largest specialty retailer whose business spanned 40 countries and 46,000 employees – and my team of 125, was #1 in the world almost every one of the 10 years I was in the business. Service is everything – if it isn’t there and the team works together, you have nothing but a pending failure. As a business owner, you do not know what happens after you leave for the day, so you rely on your staff, you trust them to feel like they own the business. I can safely attest that all of the members of Bank Street Hyundai exemplify this creed – customer service is #1. Take it to the bank – it’s who they are. I had also had a big financial loss many years ago, so didn't know how the financing part would affect me! But I couldn't believe it! They found me the car that I wanted, with the financing I could handle, and especially the warranty that I needed. Although the salesman explained everything to me about the cars and made me feel very comfortable, it was the Finance Manager, Ashur, that really put it all together for me. My friends all knew how much I needed a car and told me about the warranties at Hyundai. They were right! Everyone is so happy for me - but especially me! Thanks to everyone at Hyundai who made this possible!! You're the best! More
