During the time between order and delivery, the sales person left the dealership and turned the file over to Jim. 2. The factory-ordered unit failed pre-delivery and had to have the transmission replaced. This delayed delivery by two weeks. Jim handled the entire transaction with aplomb. He was very much in tune with our needs and was very accommodating. The pre-delivery failure and subsequent transmission replacement had totally blown my confidence, despite having 15 years of trouble-free ownership with my “bullet proof” 2000 Jeep TJ. Eric was very good in handling this, saying they would be willing to look at another unit or accept things if we walked away from the deal. When I wanted to drive a similar vehicle for comparison, they quickly PDI’d it and turned it over to me, no question asked. I have two quibbles with the purchase: 1. Once the vehicle has been built and shipped left the factory, delivery date to the dealer seems to be very vague and inexact. It’s hard to plan things around something like this. 2. I was rattled by the transmission failure and it should have been obvious we would need a discussion about what it would take to get me “over the top” and take the unit. I was surprised I had to press the point. Nonetheless, considering two major wrinkles we had, my overall experience was very good. This reinforced my decision to go with Airdrie Dodge Jeep over other dealers. More
