I knew what I wanted, and after calling 2 other dealerships and giving me the Ole come down and see us nonsense, I called Gates. I was very fortunate to get connected and hooked up with Nick Florentino who worked along side with Tom Gates and very simply understood mz situation, listened to what I requested, and worked their magic to find me a brand new truck within my means. It took a little time to complete the transaction doing everything via email, phone, txt you name it we did it. Even with a few additional requests to be added prior to pickup, they made it happen. This is exactly what I needed and to feel during a vehicle purchase. I commend the team from sales rep to management and finance coming together to make this all happen. Chris was very efficient and nice and took care of the paperwork very quickly. Tara explained all the features my Nissan Rogue Sport had and called me after to make sure I was happy with my vehicle. Worked with us in manner we preferred - no phone calls. We already knew the dealership, bought a truck there a decade earlier and we are not far away. Earlier this year we came very close on another truck We already knew the dealership, bought a truck there a decade earlier and we are not far away. Earlier this year we came very close on another truck deal and for various small reasons the deal did not complete. But the salesman, Martin, had paid close attention to our interests and preference, and when we told him we'd next have time to look some more. This worked out well for Martin our salesman, the dealership, and us. Other dealerships were annoying us with lots of phone calls and ignored our very clear preference to be reached silently by email. Martin reached back out a few months later when I had time again, and instead of getting a newer truck we instead executed a deal to buy a Nissan Leaf (all electric) car that will let us keep our much liked but older NISSAN pickup truck longer. We were not a common customer, we didn't buy during the earlier work this spring, but I admire how Martin listened when he didn't make the sales months earlier and in our second effort we both made good quick progress to a mutually satisfactory deal. I've met hundreds of pushy salesmen I never want to work with again. Martin works at his craft, and I did not hesitate to try to work with him a second time and .. it worked for us both. The dealership itself is "over the top" clean and kind - its almost silly - but it sure beats grime and ick. Been to dealers where running away seemed like best response? I've bought twice here over 15 years at Gates GMC in Windham now and still like both deals and both vehicles. Martin was patient, learned who I was as a customer, treated me as I asked to be treated. We especially appreciate we could complete our work together with very few phone calls as we sleep off normal shifts and we worked well instead by email. Good attention to customers' perspectives. They were very responsive to my inquiries from start to finish.. On two different occasions, Charlie and Nate were able to bring the vehicles to my home because of my work schedule which was a huge plus. We stayed in communication over a several month period which involved phone calls, text messages and emails which was great. Charlie and Nate located the exact 2500 Denali HD that I was looking for and notified me of new arrivals and color options in the time leading up to finding the truck.. I was also very impressed with the cleanliness of the dealership and selection of trucks that were available. I would definitely recommend to friends, family and co workers to check out Gates! More
