When it was finally fixed, after I had to rent a car for $9,000.00 because they refused to loan me a courtesy car, I got it back and it was filthy. Covered in dirt and the interior was filthy. No attempt made to wipe it down so I get it back in decent condition. The second time the engine failed most likely due to an oil leak from a faulty repair I had it towed to the dealer when it died as I drove to work. That was in April 2023. I ended that lease, which ran to October 2023, right then and there. The dealer ended the lease because I refused to take it back citing Lemon Laws. Yet I still get bills for it. No matter how many times I call them they do nothing. Hyundai Financial was told the dealer did not have the car. The dealer cannot seem to be able to figure out what happened to it. It could not have been driven off the lot because the engine was dead. And still, months later, they can’t or won’t figure it out. Add to this their abhorrent process for taking a lease. You sit with a “salesperson” and work out a cost. Then they make you wait hours to see the business manager who tosses it all out and jacks up the cost. I endured this after my first vehicle with them, a Kona, burst into flames when a truck hit me. While in significant discomfort that they were aware of they still made me wait hours in agony for a replacement vehicle. They are everything that is wrong with car dealers. How long do I have to endure harassment from finance to pay fees I have no responsibility to pay? How are they unable to solve this issue? I never post negative reviews of any business. I do not do it. But this has gone beyond what is tolerable. And still I get calls. “This is an attempt to collect a debt……”No! There is no debt as there was no car in my possession. They are real quick to notify credit bureaus but no urgency to fix their errors. Shame on you. More

I brought it in to the service center and after a day or two they said they didn’t know what the issue was, they just “unplugged and plugged everything” back in again. But the dashboard lights were off. Fast forward a month it happens again. I call to make an appt and it was a week out. I wound up canceling because the issue went away again. Now my check engine light is on and I’m having all sorts of issues driving the vehicle. The engine completely shut off when I was stopped at a stop sign. My husband and I have been calling every day for a week. We keep getting an answering machine in the service center with no call backs. We’ve spoken to other people in the showroom who said they’ll pass our information to the service department. Today the only solution they had was to call another Hyundai dealership. Absolute garbage dealership. First they sell us a lemon, and they won’t even take the time of day to look at the car or even return a phone call. Update: I got an email saying the dealership said they resolved the issue which is total BS! They still have not returned any of our calls, given us an appt, or reached out in any way shape or form!! I had a very bad experience with this dealer. I don't normally write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so. I came in for a test drive, spoke to the salesperson about the options I wanted. I I don't normally write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so. I came in for a test drive, spoke to the salesperson about the options I wanted. I did not need to negotiate on a trade in. I was ready to buy. I sat down after the test drive with my details. The salesperson looked at me and actually quoted me $6000 over sticker price. When I told him I'd be willing to wait for him to order the vehicle even if it took a few months he replied, "We don't do that." I said, "No thanks, then." I went to Curry Hyundai and in a few minutes they agreed to order the car I wanted at msrp. It took about 7-8 weeks for the car to arrive and they were great. Central Avenue Hyundai actually had the nerve to call me back to see if I was still interested. I told them that if they had been straight up with me, they could have made the $1200 that Curry just made from me instead of trying to gauge me for 7k of profit on one vehicle. A word of advice, don't believe some of these dealers when they say that they can't get you a vehicle for anywhere near sticker price. I have never paid msrp for a car before, always less. In this case I understood that I needed to pay sticker price. The dealer made their money and I got my car in an ethical transaction. Take your hard earned dollars elsewhere. More

My sales person's name was Brian and he was great. He honored all the incentives and knocked down the price of the car I was buying to below the MSRP which is nearly impossible in this market when it com honored all the incentives and knocked down the price of the car I was buying to below the MSRP which is nearly impossible in this market when it comes to sought after SUV models. Finance guy was a little bit of a slick and tried to add all these extra gap insurances and other warranties to my final price but I politely said "no" and he quickly adjusted my price to what it was. Overall, I was very satisfied with this dealership, especially with Brian- my sales guy. More

On July 7th, he went to Central Ave. Hyundai to turn in his 2018 Elantra that he was leasing. Somehow he was convinced to buy it. The problem is that new, the car was listed at $19,995, he had leased for 2 years with $2,000 down at signing. In July of 2020, somehow the car was worth $19,000 still ! Uncle David was convinced to put another $4,000 down and finance another $15,000. Because the loan requested was more than the value of the car the dealers primary lenders refused so the loan went through a secondary lender TD bank. On July 28th my uncle left his apartment in the middle of the night, drove in to Queens and was found sleeping in his car. He was hospitalized and has been in assisted living since. We contacted the dealer in August asking they take the car back, return David's $4,000 deposit and pay off the loan, they refused. We contacted them again in September, asked them to take the car back and pay off the remainder of the loan and they offered $7,000 which would have left David with $8,000 debt. In January we sent a certified letter to the General Manager, requesting again that they take the car back and pay off TD bank. We were told it was our "opinion" that they did something wrong. Certainly be cautious allowing your elderly relatives to deal with these people. If we had been aware of what was going on with Dave we certainly wouldn't have let him deal with them. Dave is now coming to live with us full time. But will be out over $14,000 thanks to this dealerships lack of compassion. Our dealings were mostly with the general manager, but I had to pick a listed name, so I chose the first under management. I don’t recall speaking to a Mr. Almanzar, only Mr. Monninger. More
