I test drove a subaru outback at March 12th 1:45 PM. John Hurd was my salesman. It was about 3 hours round trip to get there. So into the test drive I told John that I really didn't see myself buying John Hurd was my salesman. It was about 3 hours round trip to get there. So into the test drive I told John that I really didn't see myself buying this particular car since it just cost too much, that I was only really there to test drive it. I even sort of apologized but told him I just wanted to be as up front with him as possible. We haggled a little back and forth on price before he responded by saying and I quote "that I was really just wasting his time" TO MY FACE and that there were other more people he needed to get to. I was still nice. We had hardly test driven it more than a few minutes before we got back, (presumably in his hurry to get to other "more valued" customers). I still told him I would like to even SIT in (not even drive!) a CR-V to comparison shop. But when we got out of the car he immediately told me to "come back when i was serious about buying a car", shook my hand, and just walked away without even responding to my request! Rude, patronizing, and completely unprofessional. Sorry but thats just bullcrap. NO ONE should treat a customer like that. If you're ONLY willing to let people test drive your vehicles if they buy them on the spot, than that should be the friggin' rule! I was under the impression it was not. 1 star More
