Great dealership never been so happy with a service center for my ford pickups. Don was so pleasant to work with and I can't say enough good things about him. This was the 4th place to look at my car. I thought it was the battery. 1st a mobile mechanic said it was a starter, so I took it to a shop who said it was transmission codes, then to a trans I thought it was the battery. 1st a mobile mechanic said it was a starter, so I took it to a shop who said it was transmission codes, then to a transmission shop because the 2nd shop said they couldn’t work on transmissions. The 3rd shop said it was the dual clutches and quoted almost $7k, with $900 to just pull it out of the car. I called another transmission shop because I’m not totally oblivious and knew I was getting fleeced, who told me they wouldn’t take it because it needs to go to a dealership. I asked around and some trusted friends recommended Walker Ford. When I called they quoted the same work the 3rd shop said would be $7k for a max of $2,200. Once at Walker, Don called me super fast and advised it was likely just the battery. And it was. I really appreciate the honesty they have. I’m used to getting shops trying to pull one over on me, I’m a young woman so unfortunately they think it’s an easy payday. What Walker Ford and Don doesn’t know is that I currently am going through severe medical issues. The same day my car stopped working I found out I have three more growths that appeared on a scan to check the original growth found earlier this year. My car is essential to my job, and it was a week of xxxx filled with anxiety worrying about how I may not be able to afford to fix my car and would be forced to quit my job before getting it to Walker. I don’t usually leave long personal reviews like this, ever. But, I think it’s deserved. Outside of being honest, the facility was nice and welcoming while I waited to pay. The cashier was very nice and she explained my warranty throughly before I left. In the future, this will be the shop I use for my car. Honestly, the experience was so straightforward and no xx that I would likely purchase my next vehicle here. More
