Satisfying car buying experience My wife and I generally dread car shopping. The "flock of vultures" sales people dive bombing you when you first arrive at the lot, the escorted and My wife and I generally dread car shopping. The "flock of vultures" sales people dive bombing you when you first arrive at the lot, the escorted and rushed test drives, the 20 minute wait while the sales "vulture" checks with his manager regarding a simple question like, "...how much is this car?", the scripted, overly dramatic and painful price negotiation, and then the inevitable inflated interest rate and the guilt ridden final sales pitch for an extended warranty costing an additional couple of thousand dollars. Recently we were in the market for another vehicle, and seeing that Bourne's generally has a large and varied selection of different used vehicles, we thought it would be a good place to get an idea of what we wanted. We stopped in on two different occasions; the first time we were helped by Seng Pell, who cordially sat with us to review what they had in stock in the price range that we wanted to be at, and he arranged several cars for us to test drive, unescorted by the way, and without delay. Several weeks later we returned, again undecided about exactly what we wanted, and Alyssa Dowgos was there to help. She reviewed vehicles in our price range, sent us on test drives to our hearts content, and when we finally decided to purchase one of the vehicles, she was most helpful. She was easily reached by phone and email to take care of all the details, including communicating with my insurance company. She was even able to arrange having the car sent to a mechanic of my choosing to have a pre-purchase inspection done. We went in the next day to pick up the car, within minutes we were sitting with Carlos Machado, the finance person. He had gotten a great interest rate for the loan, and of course offered an extended warranty, which seemed reasonably priced, yet did not push the issue when we declined purchasing it. We literally drove away with the car within an hour of arriving. No fuss, no blood, sweat or tears. To make a long story a bit longer, last fall my son had a really positive experience purchasing a car from Bourne's. What we experienced on two separate occasions, was the easiest and most relaxed automobile purchases we have ever made. Their pricing is pretty much as low as you will find for any particular car, so not really any wiggle room in price, however you will be allowed to test drive as many cars as you want, for as long as you want, with no pressure whatsoever to purchase, and if you do decide to buy, it can't get much easier and straightforward than Bourne's makes it. We will buy from them again... no doubt! More
