Zero Accountability, Recorded Threats, and Legal Action in Progress
This company puts on a polished image to the public, but my experience revealed a complete lack of accountability, professionalism, and ethics behind the scenes. What happened to me at NewRoads Subaru Newmarket, which is part of NewRoads Automotive Group, was not just disappointing — it was disturbing.
During a regular service appointment, a female service advisor named Jesse Mueller entered my locked vehicle without permission and recorded the interior while mocking the condition of my car. This was captured on audio + video and was completely unrelated to any authorized service. That alone shows a serious disregard for customer privacy.
But it didn’t stop there.
Later the same day, a manager named Mo followed me off the dealership property and into a nearby public parking lot while threatening me and wanting to fight. As I was leaving, he calmly walked toward my car, picked up a rock, and threw it at my vehicle while I was driving away. The entire incident is captured clearly on dashcam + phone.
When I tried to report this behavior, the General Manager, Jordan, dismissed my concerns. He brushed me off with phrases like “what do you want me to do?” and hung up when I asked what the actual duties of a service advisor were.
And then it escalated.
After I filed a formal Superior Court claim, a senior employee named Ian Roy called me and said — on a recorded call — that if I didn’t drop my lawsuit, he would “notify Subaru Canada to nullify [my] warranty.” This was said verbatim. I later informed him the call was being recorded, and he simply responded with sarcasm and told me the dealership would be defending the case.
To be clear: this wasn’t just bad service. This was retaliation against me for exercising my legal rights. And to this day, no one from this company has taken any accountability for what happened. Instead, they’ve tried to intimidate, dismiss, and silence me at every step.
As a result, I’ve filed:
A lawsuit in Superior Court for harassment, negligence, and emotional distress
A Small Claims lawsuit against Ian Roy for coercion and retaliatory misconduct
All of this is supported by hard evidence: dashcam video, audio recordings, court documents, emails, phone footage.
This company talks a lot about trust, transparency, and customer service — but based on my experience, it’s just a façade. Behind the scenes, the way they treated me for standing up for myself is unacceptable. If you care about integrity and accountability, I urge you to be cautious before doing business with this dealership or any part of the NewRoads Automotive Group.
