Saturday, after test driving a venue in Halifax and not - Paul
Saturday, after test driving a venue in Halifax and not seeing any stock for sale that we liked in the Halifax area, we contacted Rallye in Moncton. After our initial contact my wife and I decided to do the 2 1/2 hour drive to go maybe pick up a car that would work.. I said as you can see in the texts, I didn’t want to drive all the way up there with out knowing the price and we can do all the negotiating over the phone, so all I had to do was sign the papers once we got there.
The sales person called me and said he will get a financial guy to call, stated I wanted the Venue Ultimate.. a while later he called and said we have a price here for the Kona. I said I didn’t want a Kona, I wanted a venue, he went hmmm hmmm I’ll call you back with the price. And hung up.
Now 40 minutes later I am almost to Amherst and still don’t have a price, so I text back, feeling a little bit run around. Just after we past Amherst, the finance guy calls back and said quote “ WE JUST SOLD THE VENUE OVER THE PHONE 20 MINUTES AGO, but we can give you a good deal on a Kona.”, I said I don’t want a Kona, I wanted a Venue. And thanked him for wasting 4 hours of my time plus gas and tolls.
How did he sell it over the phone 20 minutes ago when I have been driving for the past 2 hours and could not even get a price on this to even put a deposit on it.
Here is my opinion, they never even had a Venue Ultimate in stock,
VERY UNPROFESSIONAL
