I struggled to get by while paying for my lease after my job went belly up, and then when I was barely back on my feet, I decided I needed to find another option so I could start saving to return to school in the near future. I requested advice on returning the vehicle, or getting into an older, cheaper car and carrying over the depreciation to that vehicle. Long story short they managed to convinced (the ignorant at the time) me that my most affordable option is to do the latter but with a new car, be assuring me that the car they were showing me was much cheaper to insure than the one I had. After signing everything and moving onto the insurance part, I found it to be nearly the same, but the broker said that I'll get a bigger discount when I renew. So I stuck it out, and then I got my quote and it is only slightly cheaper, not a big enough difference to help, since icbc is also raising their rates again. That's the point I became more than done, as I could have given the car back during the grace period instead had I known my insurance would still cost this much. The only perk is I am saving on gas, but it barely matters because me current job does not require this vehicle anymore and is in walking distance. In hindsight I should have taken a personal loan from my credit union or expanded my line of credit to pay off what I would have owed on the first one and said goodbye for good. When I am finished here and I start working towards my ideal career, I will never bring my business to any Toyota specific dealer ever, and might even forgo any dealership of any kind at that. I would have saved a mountain more if I would have paid the money for a good mechanic to come with me and help inspect and purchase a used car privately like I originally wanted. More

I wish I'd gone to Westminster Toyota from day 1 - Jason was excellent on the phone with me, Jeff actually came out, looked over the car and gave me prompt updates. When I picked up my car several days later (which was no problem whatsoever) Jason remembered me and went over the service bill in detail despite it being past closing time for him. He kept me up to date via text of any changes in interest rates etc and always encouraged me to pop by - which I did numerous times. I waffled in what I wanted, when I wanted it and Melvin patiently explored each option and discussed the pros and cons of each choice . He never promoted more expensive options, he would just help me to highlight what I really wanted. After the sale Melvin set aside extra time - a good hour, to show me how to operate all the electronical stuff . He even texted instructions whe I was having difficulties . I really felt Melvin went above and beyond , he truly wanted the buyer to be totally happy with the purchase. More

Melvin treated everything with such confidence and friendliness that I knew I would leave happily. I live on the North Shore, but I can guarantee that I will definitely be back not only for other cars, but to service my car too. If Melvin and Roger, the finance guy, were so incredible, I have no doubts about their service department. Really people, there's a stigma around car salespeople that is completely unwarranted at this dealership (trust me, it's warranted at some other dealerships) Melvin is the kindest, most professional salesperson and really had my best interests at heart.
