I purchased a 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV from West Side Mitsubishi in December 2024. At the time of purchase, I paid thousands of dollars for additional protection packages, including 3M protection film, rust protection/undercoating, paint protection, and winterization. Several months later, I noticed paint defects and missing paint in multiple areas on the hood. I subsequently had the vehicle inspected at another Mitsubishi dealership. According to their written inspection findings, they found no trace of undercoating and no 3M protection installed on the vehicle. What followed was approximately six months of frustration. I contacted West Side Mitsubishi numerous times and visited the dealership on several occasions seeking answers. Throughout the process, I was repeatedly told that someone would investigate and contact me. I was passed between multiple employees and managers, but many promised follow-up calls never occurred. Despite multiple attempts to obtain answers, I was unable to receive a clear explanation regarding why the products I paid for appeared not to have been installed. After approximately six months of investigation, the dealership's proposed solution was for me to book an appointment to have the 3M protection installed. However, no satisfactory explanation was provided as to why it had apparently not been installed at the time of purchase. When I requested a refund instead, my request was declined. The most disappointing aspect of this experience was the lack of communication, accountability, and timely follow-up. As a customer, I felt that my concerns were not handled appropriately or with the level of professionalism I expected. Due to the unresolved nature of this matter, I have filed formal complaints with Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada and AMVIC and have provided supporting documentation for review. This experience has caused me to lose confidence in the dealership, and I no longer feel comfortable bringing my vehicle back there for service or corrective work. My advice to prospective buyers is to carefully review all products and services being sold, request documentation showing when and how any protection products were installed, and maintain detailed records of all communications. I hope West Side Mitsubishi takes steps to improve communication, accountability, and customer service so that future customers do not have a similar experience. More
