Suggest work thats not required My wife dropped off our 2012 Ford Explorer. It has about 45,000 km on it. My wife called shortly after taking the car in and said the service manager wanted to charge us an additional $400+ for a required transmission flush. I researched everything I could find online including the Ford service manual and recommended maintenance schedule and a transmission flush isnt even suggested till 80,000km+. A quick check of the transmission fluid showed it was still "pink" and therefore still doing great. This dealership essentially took advantage of my wife for not know cars or schedule maintenance to require a service the car didnt even need. We attempted via email and phone to get answers to our questions and were basically stonewalled by their service department. This is where we bought our car from and having spent a lot of money for the car we expected the dealer to be honest and upright in their service department. I cannot and would not recommend anyone take their car here for servicing ... they are dishonest and unethical. More
