I purchased the "extended maintenance warranty" from Tyler (a business manager still there) who told me that for an extra $50 a month "services were included for the life of my four year lease and that the warranty was extended beyond the 80K factory warranty". I just took my car in for its second service at 16K kms and was told that it would cost me $340. Apparently the extended maintenance deal only covers oil changes! Nice one Tyler. Any more surprises? This type of stuff is old school car sales at its very worst. Shame on you, Nissan, and shame on Royal Oak Nissan for employing these tactics. More

You guys only told me after the service, that I should go in with as little gas as possible for fuel pump recall so that the vehicle don't reek of gasoline .. I dont enjoy driving around feeling high from the gasoline .. in this past week weather when it was still very cold and not practical to roll down the windows. After the service, the inside of the vehicle (windows and windshields) were all frosted, I can't see a thing, and had to scrap all of it before I can drive. My camera button, navigation, map, radio etc. buttons also dont work now. When it is in reverse gear, the camera works but the guiding lines showing where my vehicle will turn, also went missing ... We did some research, and did see all the negative ratings that Royal Oak has throughout the web. Surely they were worth giving a chance right? The negotiation went somewhat smoothly, the salesperson was friendly and somewhat helpful. We ended up purchasing a 3M stone shield, and undercoating package from the dealership that was to be installed prior to taking delivery of the vehicle. A few days later we were informed the vehicle was ready for pick up and on we went. Upon arrival and inspecting the vehicle we became extremely disappointed. We were sold on the quality of workmanship, and convenience that was proposed when deciding to get the protection packages done at the dealer vs. third party. What was offered, was not what we received. Picking up a new vehicle should be an exciting experience but when you find out that your stone shield was installed incorrectly (crooked in places, not adhering properly in others), and with the undercoating not applied as promised. Your excitement quickly fades. People make mistakes though right? We were told the problems would be rectified and to come back in a couple of days. Some time went by and on we went to pick up the vehicle for the 2nd time. Low and behold, more disappointment. The stone shield while re-done, now featured lovely scratching. The undercoating? It was now done to satisfaction but unfortunately no care was taken to prevent overspray from covering the sides of the vehicles. We left. Again. Disappointed. Picking up a new vehicle should not be this way. Several days later after much frustration we are informed the vehicle is now "ready" on we went to pick up the truck for the 3rd time, finally done properly. Only took an extra week and a half, Great. Fast forward another week. Winter brought colder temperatures, and a $70,000 truck that will not start for anything. Was the truck plugged in? Yes it in fact was- for a couple of days prior to starting it in fact. Did you allow time for the glow plugs to do there thing? Yes, 5 separate times in fact. Its diesel though, they often have trouble starting in cold temperatures right? I'm sorry, but this whole experience has really left a lot to be desired by Cummins and Nissan. The truck was towed to Royal Oak. They claim the block heater was faulty and will order a few one. Will be in after Christmas. "Feel free to pick up the vehicle in the mean time". Excuse me? You want us to deal with a vehicle that wont start and have to get it towed again?? It is now the first week of January, the block heater is on back order with no ETA on arrival and near zero feedback from anyone there as to what is going on. We were given a loaner vehicle while the truck was in for repairs, which they are now asking to get back so they can put us in a rental car "at our earliest convenience". Nothing about this ordeal has been convenient. While the truck not starting is not a fault of the dealership, but more of the brand is one thing. How they are handling it, is another. A new vehicle not being able to start is unacceptable. Regardless of it being a diesel. We were sold by this model having a "Cummins engine" and the reliability of Nissan. We have not really seen either of these things to be true. Dealerships are all similar. What sets them apart is the customer service. Something we haven't seen much of with this dealer. Cannot recommend the brand or dealership to anyone. In fact I will have to do the exact opposite. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY. Seriously. There are much better places to spend your money. This dealer needs to spend sometime to think about quality control and customer service. More

After diagnosing the problem they gave me the price and time it would take to fix at my next apt when parts were in. When I went there few days later for apt I told the guy how long and the price I was quoted. Unfortunately it was false information. Terry and Tyler were extremely helpful and not only got my car done within 15 minutes or less, I was only charged for the parts. Excellent customer service was given to me and I would definitely recommend going there. I know I'll be back for future needs. Tyler was a very helpful mechanic both times I've gone there. Thanks for the great service! Much appreciated. More

They quickly told me that I needed a Service Package B, which would be around $249.99. If I did not get it done immediately, it would void my warranty. Plus, they ended up charging me $275.00 instead, due to 'shop charges'. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO ROYAL OAK NISSAN. GO on Youtube and learn how to do the inspections yourself, and simply go to Mr. Lube for an oil change, and save your $$$$ More
