Isabel contacted me by email immediately and expresed strong interest in my trade. After speaking with her, she got me in contact with her sales manager Tobias - great guy. Both of them worked hard at getting me a great trade in value and price on a new 2015 Sorento. They knew I had been shopping around and went above and beyond to earn my business. More

Happy with Plaza Kia - honest review (good and bad) Plaza Kia is one of two local dealerships, which we decided to visit after I wasn't impressed with the staff my parents' dealt with at the other deale Plaza Kia is one of two local dealerships, which we decided to visit after I wasn't impressed with the staff my parents' dealt with at the other dealership. We did a test drive here on Friday 20th June with Gerry, after which we discussed a few options with him and bargained down a price. We met John briefly as well. We mentioned we'd come back on a Saturday to purchase. The receptionist was not overly friendly or caring, although Gerry did a good enough job at making us feel welcome. The nice thing was that we did not feel pressured at any time to complete a purchase until we felt ready. On Saturday 28th, I originally went to another dealership with amazing reviews to see if I could get even better service (Plaza's to this point was good, but I heard elsewhere was exceptional) and - fingers crossed - a lower price. Though the other place did have a whole other level of professionalism and customer care, and despite the hours of work put in by my sales rep there, I ended up returning to Plaza Kia to make my purchase due to an unbeatable (according to the other dealership, an impossible) price. We had decided on the Rio 5-door SX with navigation. My first impression of Plaza Kia wasn't great; my calls were not returned within the time I was told they would be (from 20 minutes it was more than an hour and a half), I was interrupted on the phone by one of the managers (who, I realized later, does not mean to be rude, only attempts to relay information quickly), and the price I was quoted was not the price I could get. When I arrived to sort out the issue, the paper that was written up the week before was misplaced. Eventually they found it (my boyfriend's name was on it, not mine), so no big issue here. The reason for the price difference was because, although we had specified navigation from the start, Gerry had written down UVO (the system without Nav) - a considerable price reduction. As Gerry was preoccupied with another client - as he often is - Alex took over our sale and he gave us an amazing deal that was as close to the initial one as he could possibly go (really, it was a VERY good price). I caught him writing down "LX" model (although verbally he said 'SX'), to which he apologized and promptly corrected. These guys try to complete your transactions quickly - which I really appreciated - but this means sometimes mistakes are made. Thankfully, they're easy to fix and are corrected immediately. As a side note, I should mention I approached Gerry to confront him about his tardiness in responding to my call and to take up the issue of the vehicle price and document misplacement. Gerry handled my irritation beautifully; he was attentive, he apologized, he was friendly and did not attempt to evade the issue at any point. It was a quick and easy scenario and we moved forward with the correct information immediately. Despite this experience we enjoyed dealing with him and would do so again in the future. On Monday the 30th we found out I needed a co-signer for financing (I am a student with apparently no credit history). The problem is that we wanted the vehicle for Wednesday. Well, I have to say, this is when Plaza really showed its quality. Alex was quick to contact me to address the issue, and he patiently explained (more than once) what the issue was. He gave me possible solutions, and soon my boyfriend and I were back submitting a new financing application. This is when we met Jeannie, the Business Manager/Financing person. WOW she's amazing, and when supported by Alex they make a killer combo! Alex let us know they'd be looking for a vehicle, and although I pushed him to have it ready he was very honest/upfront about the reality of the situation (as he had been from the start), and he said we'd probably be looking at Monday. We appreciated his honesty and the fact that his style of communication does not include messing around with fancy sales talk; he's to-the point, 'this is what you get,' and focused on getting the transaction done promptly and to your satisfaction. Jeannie kept us up-to-date regarding every step of our application. She followed up on multiple obstacles and fought hard until she finally got us approved - nearly three hours after the dealership closed! Dealing with her made the whole situation not only easy, but super enjoyable; her adorable nature and determined, positive yet realistic approach made me want to continue the transaction even though it was technically not in our favour! The next day was a statutory holiday (Canada Day), and at the start of the day on Wednesday 2nd July I emailed Alex with a question. To my surprise, he responded VERY quickly with a concise and relevant response. I followed this with multiple emails (apologetically) with various questions and confirmations, each of which Alex responded to politely and with sound guidance (e.g. to get car first and do accessories later so as not to delay delivery). As it turned out, we were able to pick up the car that evening, the day we wanted to, and although the colour wasn't the one we wanted I think we like it better! Upon inspection of the vehicle (lights, body, navigation, odometer, a/c, glove box contents), we notice only a small hairline scratch on the driver-side mirror. Gerry immediately jumped into action to buff, clean and try to colour it in while we finished the paperwork with Jeannie. As it was a really minor thing, we told him not to worry about it - he had improved it already and we could colour it in ourselves later. He gave us a Kia touch-up marker in our colour at no cost. IN SUMMARY... Make sure they are listening to what you say and are writing down the details accordingly (as with any dealership), pay attention to detail when signing papers, confirming extras, and inspecting car (as always), and you'll be just fine. These guys worked hard to make sure we got what we wanted, at a price we were happy with, and they even threw in a couple of unrequested freebies to put the icing on the cake. Every single individual we dealt with was honest and upfront with us, even including information that was true yet not necessarily beneficial to them (e.g. about service being done outside of dealership, etc). Had it not been for a few recording errors and a little disorganization, we'd have given the customer service 5 stars. We'll be sending a friend back here in a few weeks to purchase his Rio. I'm confident he'll have the same positive experience we did. A side note, only a day in and we're LOVING our Rio5. What a fantastic little car, and the deal we were given by Plaza Kia - coupled with the relationship we have now built with the folks there - just make it that much better. We'll probably go back when our friend decides to buy just so we can say 'hi'! Thank you Plaza Kia! Elaine (and Armando) More

So to clear that up, we spoke with Gerry P. He went through the details with us and referred us to Frank D since I had questions about a 2014 Sorento. We sat in the car with Frank, who was very knowledgeable about the car. He was very pleasant to talk to and made us feel comfortable with the decision to purchase this vehicle since I was still looking at other SUVs. He took the time to get answers for me in a timely manner. I left my mother’s number as a point of contact as I didn’t live in the area. She kept advising me that Gerry was following up every few days and when she advised him that I had purchased my car somewhere closer, his response wasn't professional. My parents were interested in purchasing a KIA, but his reaction made her change her mind. More
I had bought my new Kia Forte Koup sx about 6 months prior. I always have kept my cars in pristine condition, waxed, tires dressed, leather conditioned, windows crystal clear, and always maintained and prior. I always have kept my cars in pristine condition, waxed, tires dressed, leather conditioned, windows crystal clear, and always maintained and serviced early or on time. You could say I am a very prideful owner of all my cars but as this was the first car I had ever bought new it definitely made me even more meticulous. (even through all the difficulties I had with the dealer leading up to my purchase) basically they sold me a car they didn't have, took my $5000 deposit with a smile and Informed me a few days later that they wouldn't be able to deliver my car that they had sold me). So now for the service story. I had gotten off from lecture a little early last month, and since the dealer was close by and my I was about 500km from my first oil change, I thought i might as well get her changed early. I arrive at the dealer, already knowing parking would be an issue since its a very small lot in which all spots are taken up by the new and used vehicles, so I decide to park at the rear where there are dedicated "service" parking spots available (oh lucky me). The parking spots are on a slight incline, so I angled the car while going up the incline and before I know it I SSSCRRAAPPEEEEE. My front bumper and under body ( front tow hook) are completely scraped, paint off, plastic grated and hanging off the front skirt. I inform a service employee and he gets me his manager, which hardly says two words while I'm showing him the damage. on further inspection, the spot where I had parked there were other scrapes, deep ones in the asphalt. This wasn't the first time It happened but the dealer refused to amend or even acknowledge this hazard for their customers and their products alike. The manager asked why I parked in the service parking area instead of just driving my car into the service garage, like parking in the service area was some sort of stupid thing to do. The service manager said "I had to be careful" BE CAREFUL? its a service parking spot, what kind of caution does one need to take when parking in a dedicated spot on their dealers property? shouldn't a paying customer who just forked over $30,000 for a car feel safe on the property that they bought it from? The manager said he couldn't do anything for me, nothing. Before I left the lot after my oil change, I opened my hood as I usually do to inspect for any lose or missing caps from the service (because lets face it, Mechanics are human and forget things sometimes). Upon inspection I noticed one of the most ridiculous oil spills on my engine cover, and oil still dripping on the assault while my car was sitting in the service lot. Absolutely ridiculous. Before purchasing this car I had a 17 year old Pontiac Sunfire GT and I can say after all my at home oil changes, I had never had a spill like this, probably due to the fact that when I was about 4 years old I learned about this fascinating device called a funnel. And if I did spill I usually had a rag lying around somewhere to wipe up the drops, but you know that's just me. I was very disappointed, for a dealer who apparently prides them selves for customer service they obviously have a distorted view on it. I will never get my vehicle serviced or purchase a vehicle at Plaza Kia ever again. I would rather drive 35 minutes out of my way to Newmarket Kia for an Oil change than give these unprofessional people another penny. More
I purchased a 2012 Kia Sedona from Plaza Kia. The dealership added additional (illegal) fees onto my bill of sale, which I noticed after returning home, they also had changed the price of the car. I dealership added additional (illegal) fees onto my bill of sale, which I noticed after returning home, they also had changed the price of the car. I made several calls to Kia, trying desperately to get anyone to return my phone calls, when they did the response was always "I don't know". 7 weeks later I finally received my money (after a phone call to the OMVIC).... also, 6 days after picking up the car, it broke down, overheated on the side of the road. Having it serviced at the Kia close by, they informed me that it overheated due to the aftermarket rad cap that was on my replacement radiator... ok, so the radiator was replaced? would of liked to have known that prior to buying this car... after a fight with Plaza and 5 weeks of calling almost daily, they replaced the aftermarket cap (which could have voided my warranty, along with the one they sold me!) THEN after driving the car 4000 km it started making a noise when turning or breaking, so I brought it into the first Kia I had it serviced at. They informed me that the rear brakes were metal on metal!! funny I was promised they would be at least 80%... the kicker?? afterwards I am informed that my car needs to have the 24,000 km service, they say nothing has ever been serviced. I bought the car at 24,400!! Plaza Kia owned the car at 24,000 km and didn't perform the regular service required!!! I don't see how this place is even still open.... If you are considering buying from there, learn from my mistake, don't. Horrible place. More
