The worst customer experience of my life. I wasn’t going to write this review, but I am beyond frustrated with this dealership and Hyundai in general. When I first got my new car I was sup I wasn’t going to write this review, but I am beyond frustrated with this dealership and Hyundai in general. When I first got my new car I was super excited and now I want absolutely nothing to do with it. Ever since it arrived the car has been riddled with problems. First off, it took twice as long to arrive than what they projected. When the car did finally arrive, it came in the wrong colour. My sales rep told me that “[he] wasn’t aware that they discontinued the colour.” While he did throw in free mats (which I had to ask for), they didn’t compensate the price of the paint job itself which I found in the contract afterwards totalling around $200. For the first few weeks the car was fine. This didn’t last long as almost immediately the blind spot detectors in the side-view mirrors stopped working. I visited the dealership and after and about two hours they diagnosed this problem. I then came back to the dealership two weeks later and waited 7 HOURS for installation. I thought that this would be the end of it, but no. A few weeks later, the latch to open the passenger door stops working. Once again, I have to go back to the dealership and take even more time out of my workday. My last ordeal with them happened after I hit a pothole. When I went to the dealership, they took a look at it and told me that the rim was the issue and NOT the tire. After they ordered the new rim, I went to the dealership to have them replace it. They said it would only take about 45 minutes and it was going to cost about $450. I waited for about an hour, when they then told me that the tire is also busted. So now, after they incorrectly diagnosed the problem, they charged me an additional $250 to also replace the tire, and made me come back there two additional times when they should’ve gotten it right the first time. Before you suggest I speak to the Service Manager, I have, and I was unsatisfied with our conversation. All he did was offer me a free oil change for my troubles, which had already been given to me by two other staff. A free oil change is insurmountable to the amount of time, energy, and now money that I have wasted dealing with Hyundai. The faulty manufacturing of the car, the failed delivery and broken promises, along with the lack of communication and misinformation on the part of the dealership has made me seriously question why I ever bought a car from them in the first place. Avoid if you can. I moved to the area recently and took my car to this dealership for service. The first time was for an alignment. The service person and the receipt both said car was taken on "a road test" and was good. When I drove it there was a very loud grinding noise. I took it back and they told me the car needed new brakes and was "unsafe". The next time I took it was because the car would not start (dead battery). They did a diagnostic and couldn't find anything so gave the car back to me. They did helpfully tell me if it happened again to have the car towed as they might gain more insight if the car was dead. It happened again about 2 weeks later and I had it towed. They again charged me for the diagnostic ($82+) but said they couldn't find anything wrong and gave it back to me. I then took the car to Mr lube to see if they had any insight and within 2 minutes they said one of the battery connections was loose and so it was coming undone and the car wasn't getting a charge. They fixed it is another 2 minutes and I haven't had a problem in over 2 months. On all visits they said they were going to send me a survey. However they then had someone call me in a day or two and when I told them my concerns I never received the surveys. Maybe that is how they claim to have a fantastic rating. Not once during this experience did I ever have the service manager call me despite requesting that this occur. These people do not care about your business. I have also tried to get some resolution through Hyundai Canada but they have never called back either so this is my first Hyundai and my last. I will never buy a Hyundai again. More
