As well, she provided an extra special touch since I was a first-time buyer (e.g., gave me a snow brush, bow on the car and a gas gift card!!). Delivery was exceptional as we wanted the new vehicle as soon as possible and took ownership very next day. Whole expierence was great and un stressful. Argumentative, deceitful and disrespectful service I have had two vehicles serviced at Newmarket Hyundai and clearly have learned what others have already reported. Not only is their service poor, but I have had two vehicles serviced at Newmarket Hyundai and clearly have learned what others have already reported. Not only is their service poor, but their advisers are often misleading, disrespectful and argumentative. In this day and age, customer service has quickly become a lost art. No more so is this present than at this dealership. Their CA's speak to customers as if they uneducated, uniformed and simply not knowledgeable. What this dealership and it's CA's need to understand is that many consumers today are far more knowledgeable than they clearly give them credit for. On my last visit I attempted to bring to their attention known reported mechanical issues with one of their vehicles. I cited TSB's that were readily available as well as pending class-action lawsuits not just in the U.S. but in Canada for mechanical failures that went unaddressed by Hyundai. The CA that I was speaking with snapped back and said, I don't need to look these up. I can tell you that our dealership hasn't seen any such issue. I then requested to speak with the service manager and was abruptly cut off and put on hold. Two minutes later the same person picked up and said that they spoke with the service manager and that I would have to bring my vehicle bank in and pay another service fee to have them investigate the same issue that I had already paid to have looked at with no real solution as to the cause of the issue. I was then advised that I could be put into the service managers voicemail without even being given the opportunity to speak with them. Big mistake! I WILL NOT be bringing any of my vehicles back to this dealership. If I am going to have to pay a second diagnostic fee to have me vehicle assessed for an issue that this dealership didn't satisfactorily resolve the first time that I was there, I am simply going elsewhere! Poor customer service, poor mechanical service and very argumentative and rude. I don't need to endure that type of poor service and attitude. My advice to this dealership is to invest some time and resources putting their CA's through some customer sensitivity training and work on doing a better job on their service. Reputation is everything and if enough people speak up about the poor quality of it at this dealership, they will realize one day that they need to do a better job of it or they will one day be out of business. They recently tried to take advantage of my wife's lacks of knowledge of cars and attempted to over charge her a ridiculous amount for a simple fix telling her that the replacement of a single lug nut post on the wheel would require several hours of labour. Thankfully she called me and we will take the Elantra somewhere else for the job. Upon reflection we realized that the recall on the back brakes which they were fixing on the same day required several hours of labour and that they were attempting to hit us for that time, and profit by the recall. Instead of offering to replace the post since they had to remove the back brakes for the recall, they were attempted to shift the cost of the recall to us. We will not return to this dealership. More
