We had a routine warranty service check done recently. On the way home we smelled 'exhaust fumes' and once parked in our driveway I discovered that after the oil change the 'oil' cap had been left off. Oil was sprayed all over the engine compartment and onto the hot exhaust manifold, etc. (causing the smell of exhaust fumes in the cabin.) We called the Mitsubishi service department right away and the response was Top Notch. Within a few minutes they had arranged for a tow truck to fetch the vehicle back to their shop. By later that day it was delivered back to our driveway with a thoroughly-cleaned engine bay and car wash. The smells were completely gone and "all's well that ends well." And they offered restitution regarding future service checks. No one likes it when mistakes happen. But sometimes they do. The response by Mitsubishi was excellent and it demonstrates a serious commitment to building an ongoing customer satisfaction. They actually stood behind their product, owned up to the mistake and made it right in the best way possible. This has become all too rare in many businesses today, sadly. More

I recently attempted to purchase a used vehicle at this dealership and my experience was very concerning from start to finish. During the test drive, the check engine light began blinking (which indicates dealership and my experience was very concerning from start to finish. During the test drive, the check engine light began blinking (which indicates a misfire), yet the sale was still pushed forward. Paperwork was completed and payment was taken before I received any proper diagnostic documentation or confirmation that the vehicle was safe to drive. After the sale was finalized, I was suddenly told the vehicle was not safe and that the knock sensor repair would take days—something that was not disclosed beforehand. Despite asking several times, I was not given any written repair documentation or technician notes explaining the issue. In addition, the ICBC Autoplan agent working inside the dealership advised me to file a “stolen plates” police report simply because my license plates were in another city. Filing a false report is illegal, and refusing to do that resulted in me having to buy new plates, new insurance, and then pay cancellation fees. While I did eventually receive a refund after insisting, the lack of transparency and the pressure to finalize a sale before confirming the vehicle’s condition left me extremely uncomfortable. I recommend that customers be cautious, request all mechanical documentation in writing, and avoid rushing into a deal. More
Iv been a customer with Nanaimo Mitsubishi for more then 5 years. Wayne, Luke, Andrew and Jake have always been amazing to deal with and truly care about me as a customer. My vehicle had hidden issues tha 5 years. Wayne, Luke, Andrew and Jake have always been amazing to deal with and truly care about me as a customer.
