Very conflicted with regards to my service experience As the title suggests I'm not sure I would recommend or use the service department at Lexus on the Park in the future. I purchased my Lexus GS350 ( As the title suggests I'm not sure I would recommend or use the service department at Lexus on the Park in the future. I purchased my Lexus GS350 (used) at this dealer earlier this year. As part of the deal I asked Lexus to perform the more extensive 100,000 km engine maintenance as the vehicle had 90,000 km at the time and I was aware that this was a necessary and costly maintenance milestone for the vehicle. When I booked the car for an oil change and to switch to winter tires the service department tried to sell this costly service to me again. I raised an objection and the customer service rep acknowledged that it had already been performed. Honest mistake? Maybe. When I arrived at the dealer and checked the car in, the service rep that checked me in tried to tack on new brake fluid and something else while I was there. I, again, had to explain that the vehicle was new to me, purchased earlier this year (here), had gone through the gauntlet of service checks of a certified pre-owned vehicle and that the extensive 100,000 km maintenance had been performed at that time. This service rep never even took his eyes from his computer screen to acknowledge that an unnecesary service was being recommended. Honest mistake? Seems more like a trend. Fortunately for me, I am willing to advocate for myself. Some customers may not. This is my first Lexus. Lexus has a reputation for excellent service. This surprised and disappointed me. I am likely going to shift my business to a different dealer in the spring. More
