We need another GM in Cold Lake I went here for my first car purchase. Being that Cold Lake is so small, there's no one to pressure Lake City to any type of accountability. Certifi I went here for my first car purchase. Being that Cold Lake is so small, there's no one to pressure Lake City to any type of accountability. Certified-Preowned? Well I guess at Lake City that's code for "let's sell this guy a lemon." Within 1 day, the wipers, within 1000 kms, I find out I need to have the shocks replaced. Normal wear and tear? Perhaps, but when a tech is supposed to sign off on the health of the vehicle, one would expect no problems for at least 2 or 3 months! Purchased in summer, so who uses a block heater? Well, come December in -30 degree Cold Lake weather (xxxxxxto the car starting up!) to my surprise the supposedly working block heater needs to be replaced. Come on GM, there is serious harm being done to the image of GM and the idea of certified-preowned vehicles. It's worse still when the dealer will not even cut a guy some slack on parts that should have been in full working order. Long story short, there is no accountability at Lake City, so unless you're buying new ( and I'd recommend a place like Don Wheaton in Edmonton anyway) don't buy here. At all. You'll end up paying way more than you should have after just purchasing a vehicle. It hurts to dis my home town Chevy dealer, but it's the state of affairs that it has fallen into. More

We have had our vehicle in this shop several times, and have had an ongoing problem with the engine light. The service manager told me rudely that I would have to pay to get it checked again, and it would not cover the diagnosis. When we protested that this is an ongoing issue, which they already replaced the O2 sensor to address, he didn't care. When my wife took the vehicle in to get a factory recall repair done, along with a full service Oil Change and Tire rotation, he actually said the above, yes he ACTUALLY TOLD HER THEY DIDN'T NEED HER BUSINESS, to take it elsewhere.
