To be fair, I rated "poor" for this one instance, but it is serious. It is a shame really, but this is the last time I will be servicing my Mazda 3 at Kanata Mazda. Similar to an incident of neglect 7 years is serious. It is a shame really, but this is the last time I will be servicing my Mazda 3 at Kanata Mazda. Similar to an incident of neglect 7 years back, the last oil change I had in Oct. 2025, my oil pan nut was left finger tight or rather loose. I noticed this only after the small cover panel filled up and actually started dripping on my driveway. It was a good thing I noticed when I did as my wife and I were just about to go on a trip which could have been a very bad trip if the nut came completely out. I am sorry, but if you forget to tighten the oil pan nut then what else are you forgetting to tighten or torque? Two strikes! I do not have enough nerves to chance another. More
This is the first time purchasing a vehicle, and I've bought quite a few, that I haven't felt any type of pressure whatsoever, which is amazing in and of itself. The vehicles sell themselves and this dealership is very aware of that, which allows for a great buying experience!! When the time came to deal with Mike, the experience just kept on improving! I walked away extremely pleased with this dealership and an amazing vehicle too! Finally ...... To those ladies out there who are not comfortable buying a vehicle alone, and I know there are a lot of you, this is definitely the dealership that you want to go to, Harjinder is your guy! More

I’ve purchased several new cars (not just Mazda) from various dealerships. I have never felt more comfortable or impressed by service and professionalism provided by both the sales representatives and th various dealerships. There was no pressure just honesty and willingness to help and provide guidance (and I needed a lot of repeated information). Everyone at the service desk (not just the one we addressed first) went above and beyond to lend a hand. I’m definitely suggesting this dealership to friends and family. Best experience. I’ll never go elsewhere for a vehicle. More

Will not have my car serviced here again. With only 18,000 km on my 2019 vehicle, which was driven weekly(although due to Covid restrictions during that time period, not as much as usual) With only 18,000 km on my 2019 vehicle, which was driven weekly(although due to Covid restrictions during that time period, not as much as usual) and parked in my garage, I was told my back brakes needed replacement due to rust from not being driven enough. After checking with many friends and family, they are appalled at this and said I should have gotten a second opinion before going ahead with the work. With the low mileage I have this should not have happened, unless there is a defect with the brakes on this vehicle, which should then be covered under warranty. More
I recently bought a Mazda 3 GT Sport and on the day I picked it up the vehicle had no gas in it, the low fuel light was on. I had already left the lot by the time I noticed how low the fuel was. Instead picked it up the vehicle had no gas in it, the low fuel light was on. I had already left the lot by the time I noticed how low the fuel was. Instead of heading home I had to drive straight to a gas station. I later advised the sales manager who basically called me a liar, stating they ensure every car leaving the lot has a full tank. In addition, I noticed damage to the rear driver side corner, which had not been reported to me and was indicative of the car being hit from behind. When I called the sales person and later the sales manager, neither offered to view the vehicle and simply stated they were not aware of it and if I hadn't noticed it during pick up it was my fault. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone, Shady business, rude Sales Manager, no apathy or after service. Buyer beware!!! There are mutliple Mazda dealers in Ottawa, stay away from this one.......... More
I recently purchased a used Mazda 5. It had a lock nut on each tire and but no key. Phoned Kanata Mazda to see if they could use their master key to remove the lock nuts so I could rep It had a lock nut on each tire and but no key. Phoned Kanata Mazda to see if they could use their master key to remove the lock nuts so I could replace them with regular nuts which I could get myself. I even offered to remove them myself in the parking lot if they lent me the lock nut key for 5 minutes. They said they could do it for me so I took it in. 10-15 minutes max to do. They charged me $75. A simple thing where they could have said 'no worries, happy to help' or charged $20 for new nuts and time. Had they done that they would have gotten a lot of good will and I would have happily gone back next time for service. Not now. I can't image what it would cost to do some real work and don't plan to find out. More
