When I took th I've had my Volt for two and a half years, and this is the first time I have not been very satisfied with the care given at John Bear. When I took the car in to have the winter tires taken off, they informed me that a special key was necessary, without which certain special bolts would have to be broken of at a cost of 30 dollars per tire. I never asked for special locking bolts, and no-one ever told me anything about a special key they claim to have left on the back seat of my car when I had the winter tires installed. I am a 66 year old widow, and I counted on them to take care of my car. Well, now, Gilbert's Tire has quoted me $5 per tire to break off the special bolts, so guess where I'm going. More
So bad that I cannot describe it I tried several times before but dealing with these people almost convinced me to never buy a GM car again. I took my truck for a transmission fluid c I tried several times before but dealing with these people almost convinced me to never buy a GM car again. I took my truck for a transmission fluid change and potentially a fix for a vibration diagnostics. Dealt with a guy named Thomas and it turned out to be nothing far from a nightmare. He called me after couple of hours with a list of problems and asking for 7300 plus taxes to fix. This included a new transmission, new radiator and a bunch of minor things. His diagnostic was accurate: torque converter issues. I didn't want to do the repair and got hit with a CAD 249 for inspection. He claimed to work for two and a half hours to find the issue. I took the car to another repair shop that not only did the diagnostic for free but did it in 10 minutes after hooking up the computer and driving around the block. Surprise: exactly the same diagnostic. Make things more interesting it turns out that this a known, very popular GMC truck problem. Finally I paid a huge amount of money. I was never told at the check in that I can be up for such an amount just for an inspection. His report doesn't say one word about all the other fantasy repairs, besides the torque converter, simply because they don't exist. I hope he doesn't work on commission because this will obviously be a scam. If any of the managers or some GM customer service and marketing people care about their image, I hope somebody will check the records for March 6th and get in touch with me. Little hope, but optimism is not bad. More

In less than a week I was driving off the lot in my 2017 buick. Honestly I would reccommend johnbear to buy a vehicle. They trest you like family not just another person looking at vehicles. Awful service Got a coolant leak fixed on my Cruze (under warranty), a week later another coolant leak started and was told this time it would cost $500. Refused th Got a coolant leak fixed on my Cruze (under warranty), a week later another coolant leak started and was told this time it would cost $500. Refused the work, my 6 months pregnant wife came to pick up the car it was buried under 6 inches of ice. Service techs handed her a brush and watched her struggle to scrape it from inside. not only are they awful at being a dealership, but they are absolutely disrespectful as well. Will never go back. Continued disappointment Dealership threw out the wrong set of tires during seasonal tire change, then made me buy new tires and proceeded to tell me it was my fault. When che Dealership threw out the wrong set of tires during seasonal tire change, then made me buy new tires and proceeded to tell me it was my fault. When checking their system they had record of me having 4 summer tires during the winter change and then this summer when I came back they said I only have 2 summer tires. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and ordered a new key from them and the buttons are wearing on my current key. It has been several weeks and when calling to ask about the status of the key they said it was never ordered and to check at another dealership who has some in stock. Finally, the woman who makes appointment books be earlier then the garage opens and I sit in the waiting room for half an hour before the mechanics even get to the shop. I would not recommend as every time I go there I am upset, frustrated, and disappointed. More
Poor Workmanship, Poor Customer Service I am very disappointed with the workmanship and customer service I received at this dealership. I took my Pontiac Vibe to John Bear GM in Hamilton, I am very disappointed with the workmanship and customer service I received at this dealership. I took my Pontiac Vibe to John Bear GM in Hamilton, Ontario just over two weeks ago for repairs needed due to a recall on the passenger airbag. Normally I do not go to the dealer as most service is done at home, but in this case the repairs were being done free of charge due to the recall. This recall was the second airbag recall for Vibe models, the previous being for the steering wheel airbag. During the previous recall, my vehicle had also been taken to John Bear for the repairs. When I received the vehicle after those repairs, the steering wheel had been reinstalled out of alignment. While disappointed with the poor workmanship, I determined that the crooked steering wheel was not a safety concern, and decided to address the issue with John Bear the next time I went in. Making the appointment for the second airbag recall, I brought up the fact that the dealer had reinstalled the steering wheel incorrectly during the last recall, and I would like for them to correct it in addition to the current recall repairs. I was told over the phone that the correction would most likely be free of charge as the error had been made on their end, but the service desk would need to confirm it upon my arrival. When I brought the vehicle in, I reminded the service advisor that I wanted the misaligned steering wheel addressed as well as the current repairs, and was told that they could perform an alignment check, but any actual repairs to the steering wheel would cost $110. I said that that was disappointing considering the error had been made by the dealer in the first place, and the response from the advisor was "that's okay, just don't do the repairs then." When I pressed the issue, I spoke with three different associates, the last of which being someone from the garage. He told me that it was impossible for the dealer to have made the alignment error due to the nature of the repairs. When I told him that the steering wheel had been perfectly aligned when I had brought the car in, and then crooked when I received it, he told me that I had waited too long to address the issue. A response claiming that I had waited too long to address the issue seemed a bit contradictory to one denying responsibility for the issue. I expressed my disappointment again, and was offered the repairs to the steering wheel at half the regular price. I declined the offer since I was not willing to pay to have an error corrected that was made by the dealer in the first place. I felt unappreciated as a customer, and left the dealership frustrated and unhappy with the service I had received, not to mention the steering wheel is still crooked. More
