Diagnostic testing later confirmed that the same fault codes—related to the EVAP system and transmission—had already appeared on May 23 and May 27, before the sale. Just 20 days into ownership, the vehicle completely broke down. It now requires a full transmission replacement due to burnt transmission fluid. I’ve already had to pay out of pocket for diagnostics, towing, and alternate transportation—all within three weeks of buying the vehicle. To make matters worse, I was only told after the sale that the engine had previously been replaced—a major repair that was never disclosed to me beforehand. That’s a serious omission that impacts the vehicle’s value, reliability, and future resale. While the dealership has communicated with me, they refuse to reverse the deal. Instead, they’ve told me to go through the extended warranty to cover the transmission. That leaves me stuck with a vehicle that now has two major repair histories—an engine replacement and a soon-to-be transmission replacement—which I’ll be forced to disclose if I ever try to resell. This has been an incredibly frustrating and costly experience. I expected honesty and accountability from a dealership, but what I got was a vehicle with known pre-sale issues, undisclosed major repairs, and no real support.
