Very disappointed in the service shop I made an appointment online for my 48000km warranty maintenance and a synthetic oil change and to replace a rear tail light bulb. I dropped my vehicl I made an appointment online for my 48000km warranty maintenance and a synthetic oil change and to replace a rear tail light bulb. I dropped my vehicle off the night before, wrote clear instructions (especially the oil change "I would like a full synthetic oil change like I've had every time I've had my vehicle serviced"). I was surprised when they called me before noon saying my vehicle was done. The man on the phone (can't remember his name) said the oil change was done so I could come get my vehicle. I asked about the warranty maintenance and the tail light and he told me multiple times "if it needed to be done they would've done it." This is the first new vehicle that I've had so I wasn't sure how the warranty maintenance worked so it sounded good to me. When I picked my vehicle up they didn't do a synthetic oil change -they did conventional (I drive a lot and that is important to me) and my tail light was still burnt out (I didn't notice this till I left the dealer). The guy who gave me my keys also told me that the warranty maintenance only needs to be done if I notice a problem. I was confused by this because how am I supposed to know if something needs to be replaced? I'm not a mechanic. That is their job, is it not? My brother is a journeyman mechanic at a Nissan dealership and when I told him about it he said that is wrong and they should've inspected everything and now if something goes wrong it might not be covered under warranty because I technically haven't followed the "scheduled warranty maintenance". I called to complain and talk to the service manager to fully understand what happened but he did not answer and never returned my call. I am very disappointed. More
