Jan 25, 2013 I looked at a new 2013 Ram SXT 4x4 with Mike. I was happy with the truck and wanted $6000 for my trade-in. The best Mike could do was $2,500 for my trade. On Mar 12, 2013 Sebastien called me at home and invited me to their upcoming 2-day sale starting Friday Mar 15, 2013. I thanked Sebastien for calling but said we were too far apart on price so I would not be coming. After discussing price and trade-in value for the new truck I looked at on Jan 25, Sebastien asked if I would do the deal if he gave me the $6000 for my trade-in. I said yes. Sebastien put me on hold and went to talk to his sales manager. He came back and said yes they would give me $6000 for my trade-in. Sebastien also said the numbers on paper may look different but the bottom line would match the agreed price. We made arrangements for me to return to the dealer Friday morning Mar 15, 2013. When I got off the phone with Sebastien I told my wife that I had just bought the truck. On Friday morning Mar 15, 2013 I met with Sebastien. He showed me the truck and we road tested it. I believe the stock number was C13385, it was the truck I wanted. Sebastien then did up the offer to purchase worksheet with the numbers as discussed and agreed to on the phone, Mar 12,2013. I signed the offer. Sebastien brought the worksheet to his sales manager to sign off and complete the deal. I believe the sales manager's name was Stephen Velitchkovski. The sales manager came to see me without Sebastien. I thought he was coming over to congratulate me on the deal but instead the sales manager began explaining to me that the dealership had no control over manufacturer pricing and that he could not honour their advertised price of $23,998 which included a bedliner at no charge, freight and Federal AC tax. He then continued to say that the most he would give me for my trade-in was $3000. I tried to comment that we had already agreed to a price of $21,470. The sales manger continued talking and started ranting at me in a raised voice that there was no way he was doing this deal. If I wanted the truck I would have to pay over $26,000 for it. I was so flabergasted at the way I was mistreated by the sales manager that I simply asked for my keys, credit card and drivers license back and left the dealership. If I had known that dealerrater.ca existed back then I would certainly have filed this complaint back in Mar of 2013. I have retained the advertisements showing the pricing which Capital Chrysler Dodge would not honour. In Dec of 2013 I did buy a new 2014 Ram SXT 4x4 from another dealer. That is when I learned of this site to rate dealer experience. More
Absolutely the worst experience of my life. I went in there to purchase a Dodge Caravan but the salesman and his boss were so aggresive to push me to sign a deal that I just lost it. Their complete mode there to purchase a Dodge Caravan but the salesman and his boss were so aggresive to push me to sign a deal that I just lost it. Their complete mode of operation is to push their customers with onetime offer, valid on the spot to have them sign the deal. They don't provide all the answers, they are rude, they are condescending, they are belittling, they are basically bunch of xxxxxxxx who are like hyennas waiting for the weak to break down so that it can be devoured with out mercy. I repeatedly told them that I would need to bring in my wife to have her look at the van, but noooooo, can't do that since I would loose 2K from the deal they are ready to make me on the spot. What a rip off. I just walked off, and got a way better deal from the Metro Dodge on Richmond rd. More
I bought a jeep, sight unseen, from them as I am 6hrs away, and it was the only Gecko jeep we could find left. Got a great price from Jon. Matt picked up my family and I at the train station, and drove u away, and it was the only Gecko jeep we could find left. Got a great price from Jon. Matt picked up my family and I at the train station, and drove us back to the dealership. Great PR work, and a very friendly guy. We noticed a flaw in the paint, but Jon ordered touch up paint for us n/c. We stayed in Ottawa a couple of days (beautiful city, Jon helped us find a hotel) and after driving home, noticed there was no key for the wheel locks. I sent Jon an email, and got the key by purolator a few days later. The only other issue would be the guys who detailed the jeep missed a few spots,(the jeep was new, but built over a year prior) but overall a great experience. More
This occurred a couple of years ago, but the issue was never resolved to my satisfaction. I was taking my 2007 Jeep Wrangler to Capital Dodge for service since they were closer to my employer after I swit never resolved to my satisfaction. I was taking my 2007 Jeep Wrangler to Capital Dodge for service since they were closer to my employer after I switched jobs. I had it in for an issue related to the oil level warning which they incorrectly diagnosed. While it was in the noted that my front universal joints were going an could be replaced under warranty. I only had 4000km left to my warranty, so I said go ahead and order the parts and schedule the appointment. The following week the Jeep went back in to have the universals replaced. When I picked the vehicle up I noticed a 'grabbing' in the brakes when I applied them. When I got to work, I backed into my parking spot and quickly visually inspected the front end components. When I left work I got onto the highway and proceeded home. When I got off the highway and braked to slow, the vehicle locked up at 60 kph. When I released the brakes, everything returned to normal and the vehicle moved correctly. I used down shifting to time my approach to lights so I wouldn't have to use the brakes. When I arrived home, I found that one of the front callipers had not been correctly re-attached and the lower bolt went missing. So every time I braked the calliper would grab the rotor and then pivot up into the rim. The rim was destroyed, air was leaking from a huge gash in the rim. I had the vehicle towed back to the dealership and had to fight to get a reprimand placed on the mechanics file. When I got the vehicle back, I found that they had damaged the inner axle seal, which they denied and refused to fix. More
I have owned a Cherokee and 2 Grand Cherokees, all of which have been serviced at Capital. My most recent Jeep is a 2011 Grand Cherokee. At 30,000km a pulsation developed when braking and it was diagnosed as warped rotors with all needing to be replaced. I had not had this problem on my previous Jeeps so I spoke to Kyle (Service Manager) about it and he advised me to contact Chrysler Customer Care. I explained my case to Chrysler and they contacted Kyle who went the distance for me. Chrysler agreed to replace all pads and rotors at their expense even though the parts were well over the 20,000km warranty for brakes. During the replacement, another brake component was found to be defective. Kyle had a replacement part rushed from Toronto and sent one of his staff to pick it up in Arnprior (as far west as the Toronto deliveries come). They kept the Jeep overnight but I was given a loaner without any hassle. I have an 11 year history with Capital and they have always addressed my concerns promptly and happily. More
I was on vacation in Ottawa, had purchased a new Vehicle at Peel Chrysler which I had issues with from day 1. Brought the vehicle to Capital Dodge to have them investigate vibration issue, they balanced my at Peel Chrysler which I had issues with from day 1. Brought the vehicle to Capital Dodge to have them investigate vibration issue, they balanced my tires and sent me on my way. Took the vehicle back out and vibration was still the same. Wen't back the next day, sat in service department for 6 hours! At no point did my service advisor Bradley ever provide me an update or offered to drive me somewhere so I could pickup lunch or coffee. After sitting there for 6 hours they came back, told me it was fixed, took the vehicle back out for test drive, same issue. Returned to dealer where i was told there was nothing more they could do and that I needed to contact the tire manufacture and get them to look at the tires as they were defective. Called tire manufacture, she right away advised that it is the dealers responsibility to contact them as this is a new vehicle. Peel chysler contacted Capital Dodge to try and get them to work with Kumho to figure this out but they more or less washed there hands of the issue and refused to cooperate. " What dealer in there right mind allows a customer to drive off their lot with defective tires?" All this to say I was not impressed with Capital Dodge and my service advisor Bradley. I have never in my life sat 6 hours in a service department and have my service advisor walk pass me countless times pretending I don't even exist. This is my first Dodge and it's been a total dissaster. My advice,, don't buy a Dodge and if you do do not buy or have it serviced at Capital Dodge. More

So many issues with this dealer and I wish I had not So many issues with this dealer and I wish I had not purchased a FIAT from them. Sales managers were rude and condescending. Once I had purchased my So many issues with this dealer and I wish I had not purchased a FIAT from them. Sales managers were rude and condescending. Once I had purchased my FIAT I received calls on a regular basis to have me sign their financing papers and pick up the car. I understand they make money off the financing, but I did not appreciate the Harassment while I was waiting to be approved for a loan, vice the dealer financing. Once I had arranged to pick the vehicle up, the sales manager had failed to tell anyone else when I was coming and the vehicle wasn't ready. The end result was that I had to leave and come back in an hour to pick up my the car in the dark. The sales man was very nice and apologetic, but was unable to do a proper walk around before I drove it off the lot - he did not even know if the car had a spare tire. The next day, it was obvious that it had not been washed properly and the base of the car had a very sticky substance on it. The service department has not been much better. They do not keep spare tires in stock - found that out the hard way, nor do they keep touch up paint. I had some ordered to fix the numerous chips in my paint, but when I came to pick it up, they had sold it to someone else and made no offers of ordering more. Further, my vehicle needed to go in for some work (rust removal) that was covered under warranty. I had initially been told that I was entitled to a rental car, when I called to arrange this, the service manager bluntly told me that I had been misinformed and that I wasn't entitled to anything. I called FIAT Canada, who informed me that I was actually allowed up to $50/day for a rental. This dealership has demonstrated abysmal customer service and I am searching for the next closest FIAT dealer. From now on I will do a coffee check before I buy a car from a dealership - in other words, steer clear of dealerships that make you buy coffee while waiting for your car in the service department.
