I ended up putting down a deposit on a comparable vehicle at a different dealership. The next day, I was contacted by the Cam Clark Richmond sales associate and given a lower price offer beating the other dealership to entice me back in. I returned and haggled over the final price with the sales associate, who went back-and-forth several times with his manager with minor counter offers based on the quoted price. We had to ask for each piece of documentation rather than being handed the jacket in it's entirely; the records revealed the "one owner - the manager, and one minor cosmetic accident" claim to be false. Assistant Sales Manager Ken Wong then comes in and nixes the entire deal, saying he was losing too much money. I pointed out the price was the one offered to me by his own sales associate, He said it wasn't an offer, it was a "suggestion". I showed him the transcript on my phone, clearly defining the price. He then changed his tune, saying the sales associate was new and offered to fire him. I was shocked. I told him I didn't want anyone fired, I wanted him as a Manager to honor the deal or make the situation right with the customer. There would have been many ways to ameliorate the situation, but his refusal to take any sort of responsibility was horrific. And they wonder why some dealerships have such a poor reputation for dishonesty and complete lack of ethics, I would highly advise buyers to steer wide of this place; there are many other Ford Dealerships out there that are reputable and would never treat customers in this fashion. Typical sales guys, so very cliche in every car salesman aspect. They had the exact car we wanted in a demo so we shopped there but is felt wrong and their follow up service for a few lingering issues, has aspect.
