Have not used Bytek's service so we cannot truthfully answer we made the purchase of an e-Golf in the spring of 2018 with the understanding that the vehicle would not be available until early 2019. After the cancelation of the Ontario Green Plan we thought that we would not be able to benefit from the government's incentive program. Fortunately VW Canada and Bytek were able to get the car from Germany and to the dealer, plated and PDI before the September 10th deadline. We are most grateful to both the dealer and VW Canada. Could not be happier with the sales agent, Mark Zinck and the finance manager Lesley Drysdale. More

They just dont care I came to the body shop for rust check in November 2017. They changed the staff shortly after and my submission was lost. April 2018 comes by and stil I came to the body shop for rust check in November 2017. They changed the staff shortly after and my submission was lost. April 2018 comes by and still nothing when they said the average wait time was 8 weeks. I go back and the staff does the check again. They assured me they would call VW to escalate and make it go faster. Today (3 months later) I still haven't had a response. ALL email towards Chad Johnson have been ignored and left unanswered. Ive gone 3 times to talk with him directly and each time he kept brushing me off saying "follow up next week"... Ive also had terrible Customer Service from the Service Department. My new car under warranty was making a sound and I called Bytek. They told me to come in. Jenna Leonce snapped at me and was acting weird; possibly high. Greg Taylor didn't seem to care and was trying to manipulate me not to leave a review. I can't believe he allowed his employees to insult paying customers like that without consequences. He followed up with me a few days later but it was a total waste of time. He then also didn't care when I told him I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. He only used generic answers designed to brush people off. Judging on the other negative reviews Bytek has had lately; it seems that none of these will be fixed anytime soon. More

Pressure salesman and no discount or rebates. I was told I had to sign the day of to get the 0% financing rates and that the car was discounted as much as possible already. Although i checked the CarCost ahead of time and it wasn't true that they discounted as much as possible. They still had a lot more margin to play with. All this to say i didn't get a discount whatsoever and was quoted 700$ for winter tires at their cost price that wouldn't be included. I didn't even get a free hat or shirt, i thought it would've been the least they could do. More

However, I had an apointment with him (which I waited 5 minutes because he had another customer in his office) because I gave him a deposit for a demo GTI from another dealer. I explained to him by phone two days earlier that I want to discuss of the price with him, in person before to sign any contract. When he came to me at the waiting room, the first thing that he gives me was a "Final sale contract" and he said to me to just sign there without giving me any explaination of what it is. Obsiously, I'm not stupid enough to sign something that I didn't read nor getting some explanation from the saleman. Few minutes later, we weren't able to get a deal for the price that I was asking for. The dealer proposed me the price of a negociated brand new GTI (2200$ less than a brand new MSRP) for a car that has been used for 2000km... I refused and a guy came to the office without presenting himself. I had to ask him who is he, because the only thing that the individual said to me when he came its is name (David). We weren't able to make a deal for the price that I was looking for. But I said earlier to the saleman that if we couldn't make a deal, I'll wait 2 months to get a brand new 2018 GTI because I want a GTI and he wouldn't loss me as a customer. I also came to the dealer with my girlfriend because I said to Derrick that she is looking for a Jetta. Nonetheless, the director (David) left the office saying that he wishes me a good evening. He left without giving me any handshake, the saleman was in another office with another customer (I suppose a more important customer that the one who took an appointment with him for discussing about a price). Nobody came to me to discuss about the 2018 GTI nor to take care of my GF who wanted some information about a Jetta. We left the dealer 3 minutes after the director abruptly left the office and let us alone in a pretty awkward situation. Will never come back to Bytek VW and will get a 2018 GTI this fall on a Montreal area dealership because I don't trust any VW in Ottawa / Gatineau area. Also I felt that the saleman (Derrick Francoeur) tried to crook me when he wanted me to sign the final sale contract without giving me any explanation while I was in the waiting room. More

Just bad, bad, bad. There is little competition and the arrogance shows it. By a VW or Volvo at your own peril. More

I dealt with Romy and she was so friendly and enthusiastic and so knowledgeable. She had answers for any and every question that I had and helped me feel comfortable and confident with my new car purchase. She is a wonderful sales person and I highly recommend anyone in the market for a new car go and see her. And thank you to Leslie for explaining all the different warranties and finance options to me. She helped me actually understand what I was paying for and how Bytek would continue to take care of my car after I drove it off the lot. And Andy the sales manager took time out of his busy Saturday to make sure that I was being well taken care of. I didn't feel like I was just a customer, which was lovely. And also thank you to the receptionist Sarah who was very upbeat and friendly. I am so happy with my new Jetta and I highly recommend that if you're looking for a new car to check out Bytek. Great vehicles and great staff. More
