In 2002, Gord Pedersen and Dan Gagnon founded Auto Gallery of Winnipeg, hoping to revolutionize the general perception of the used car industry. Both men had begun their car sales careers working for large manufacturer dealerships, and they decided to combine their many years of experience and strike out on their own.
As Gord retired, Dan created a plan for a community-minded auto dealership that people would find worthy of not only repeat business, but also of referring their friends and family members. Enjoyable experience from start to finish!!! I was in the market of looking for a new-used van to replace my older one. I had looked about 6 months prior and went to a few other dealers and was I was in the market of looking for a new-used van to replace my older one. I had looked about 6 months prior and went to a few other dealers and was quite put off at the typical car buying experience I got from others, like no stock, sold, priced wrong, high miles etc. This all changed when I went to Auto Gallery of Winnipeg. I did a fair amount of searching on-line before going to their showroom. I called and spoke with Gilles Laurin and was happy to find that they actually had a vehicle that they listed was still available and it was also available at a price they advertised. From the first few minutes of arriving I had a good sense that this may actually be the place that I will be buying my next vehicle from and future ones. I never once felt being pressured into buying something that I wasn’t interested in. They also gave me a fair trade against a new-used van that I did buy that only had 7800kms on it and still had lots of OEM warranty remaining. I was able to go in, test drive and get a firm price including my trade within about an hour. I had other vans at other locations to look at that day and told Gilles I would let him know and he said great and hoped to see us again no pressure tactics at all from him. It didn’t take long at other “Dealer” locations to realize I didn’t want to play the game that the others tried with pressure tactics. So after sleeping on it I decided to call Gilles back at Auto Gallery of Winnipeg and proceeded with the deal we discussed and was glad the van was still available. As the wife and I pulled away the first day we saw Gilles getting into it with another couple as we were leaving and was thinking that we may have missed our chance on it. Even if we had missed our chance on this one I knew they always had new ones coming in. This has been my best buying experience by far when shopping for a big new purchase. I have since sent several friends I know here to look at vehicles and will send many more without any hesitation. I don’t think I got any special treatment when I went, I believe they treat everyone like this and that is a great thing to see now a days in our fast paced world we live in. More

'A friendly neighbourhood dealership' I was undecided on vehicle type (Hyundai Tuscon vs. Mitsubishi RVR), while browsing online I noticed on their website they had some of each. My husban I was undecided on vehicle type (Hyundai Tuscon vs. Mitsubishi RVR), while browsing online I noticed on their website they had some of each. My husband said, 'pop in to the auto gallery and test drive them both, I bought a Sunfire there years ago, they were great'. After test driving both, I was still undecided, they offered to let me take the RVR home for the night and use the following day, still undecided, imagine my surprise when they offered the Tuscon over night the next day! Finally after dealing with me for 2 days I decided on the Tuscon, all without any sales pressure, I left there on a Thursday evening deciding on a 2013 Tucson, paperwork ready to be submitted to the financial institution first thing Friday morning (because unfortunately due to my indecision I had kept them there past close yet again). I woke up Friday morning and decided my final decision the night before was wrong and I needed the 2015 Tuscon, I texted Emily yet again at the crack of dawn asking if she could change the paperwork pre submission. I then drove home in my 2015 Tuscon Saturday at noon! All staff that I dealt with over the course of a couple of days were friendly, patient, and cared that I was purchasing the vehicle that was right for me, not the vehicle that made them the biggest sale, they also informed me that my husband will be reviewed I got a referral bonus in the mail which was an added surprise! I will recommend anyone buying a used vehicle to go and see my friends (cause that's how they all made me,feel) at the Auto Gallery at 3777 Portage Ave. More

Not just buying a car! treated like PEOPLE/FAMILY! 2 years ago we had no credit bad credit no one would look at us. Auto gallery did not! We left with a dodge journey 2010 yes at high interest! But they said keep up payments we will change that and get you in a new car! Our family needs grew and required us with needing a lsrger vechile. Gilles gave his 110% and more with his team. My husband and I left feeling empowered and supported 110%! We left today in brand new town & country and lowest interest rate ever! Supported and encouraged! Treated like humans and bought what we want not what they wanted! They also have the best mechanical team as well to continue theis services.and support with your vechile.Tell everyone never say no one will help cause they will give it their best and more! ??
