service mediocre at best I've had my Mini 3 years now, every service there has been issues i addressed that they have ignored. last time i took it in due to a service light i I've had my Mini 3 years now, every service there has been issues i addressed that they have ignored. last time i took it in due to a service light i was told it was a brake service warning and i needed new pads, i asked what the % remaining was and was told 50%. I've driven the car 3 years and used 50% of the pads i think i',m ok a while longer, then they didn't do the other minor requests i had (all livable issues) now i try and book because i had another flashing warning light and was told they would do an emergency service (so 24-48 hours after dropping the car. Well service closes at 5 so i figure i can drop overnight and it will be ready for 2 days but no they said that would be 2 days fro tomorrow am (despite the fact that no-one could look at it between 5 pm and 9 am, once my warranty expires next year bmw/mini will never see my car at any location because the service is very poor. the Sales service was good i will say and that is why i rated 3 stars . Oh and my roof decal has had numerous issues las time they replaced it and the replacement looked horrible withing 6 months More

Wouldn't consider taking Sheldon anywhere else. My experience with the service department at Mini was simply flawless I honestly cannot think of a way to improve upon it short of being able to book My experience with the service department at Mini was simply flawless I honestly cannot think of a way to improve upon it short of being able to book the appointment online perhaps. There was a slight issue with the car I borrowed and the service representative Tyler Dale (I believe) was so lovely about it. While I was disappointed that my car which is less than a year old had an issue that required a part being replaced, that was certainly no fault of the service department. And in fact, the service department was so wonderful to deal with that I believe it makes up for the car having an issue. I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Dale, and every other member of the service team. When I dropped off my Mini, named Sheldon Mr. Dale let me know what the issues sounded like, what the timeline would be and told me he would call to keep me updated. To my surprise I got a call later that day updating me and providing me with what turned out to be a very accurate timeline. I felt like I was kept updated and informed the entire time Sheldon was under the service department's care. The health system in Ontario could take a lesson from Mini Downtown's Service Department on how to keep an nervous "parent" calm and informed of the care being provided. After my interactions with Mr. Dale and the other members of the service department I cannot imagine taking my mini to be cared for anywhere else. More

This location also has an upstairs section which has a very comfortable setup (couches, table and chair and large windows) to work at while you're waiting for your service to be completed. I highly recommend Mini Downtown. More

Never again! Lots of serious issues with the service dept. 1) Took my Cooper S as I was hearing noises coming from the wheels. Did online search, seemed that the issue was with the bearings. Service called me up saying it was the brake calipers seizing, which was strange since I didn't have any issues with the brakes. So they replaced the rear calipers, noises still happening. Then they said the hand brake cable was seizing. Replaced and still noises. Then they finally said yes, it is probably the bearings. Fixed, and the noises were gone. Still, of course they charged me for everything. 2) Forgot that I vowed to never go to this dealer again, took it in for 55 pt inspection as there was a special for $40. When I picked up the car, noticed that the driver side was all wet. Apparently the sunroof drainage has been dislocated. Even though I never had issue with it before, of course it had nothing to do with the inspection they just did. They wanted to charge me $460 to fix it. Finally remembered, never EVER go to this dealer... More

$270.00 dollars later for nothing. I was billed 270 dollars and told they would not safety my Mini because the passenger airbag indicator was on. They would require approx another 160 d I was billed 270 dollars and told they would not safety my Mini because the passenger airbag indicator was on. They would require approx another 160 dollars to "diagnose" the indicator and no idea how much more to actually repair the little red light. It's a known issue with most early year Minis. The indicator does not affect the airbag deployment as my first mini was in a crash with the same red light on, and the bags deployed perfectly. With that said, I avoid Downtown Mini as I would a plague and suggest everyone else does unless you have more money that brains. More

If you’re looking for a fantastic sales person who works to make the client happy before, during and after the purchase, I definitely recommend Sam and MINI Downtown. It was so easy! More

Avoid Buying a Mini If you Value Your Sanity 2011 Countryman was a pain to own. Battery drained every three days if not driven. Came to hate it and resent the indifferent service people at this location, no Saturday service, though this might be the only day I have available to come in for an evaluation or some help. The staff at this location seem young and arrogant, like they don't really respect their clients. Manager always takes responsibility for cultures like this. Please, think very carefully before buying a Mini, understand what you are getting into, and that once the warranty expires, you may find your relationship with the dealership changes significantly. They prefer warranty work, so you may feel a bit abandoned once it expires. More
