He (MY FATHER) was desperate to save money as power and gas had been cut off from time to time. Derrick Dodge offered to sell him a new car and take his leased vehicle in a trade that would reduce his monthly payment by $40.00. (Forty). He decided to do this without council. As he at the time has just had a heart attack and stroke he had no licence. He also had no credit so he put the deal in my mother's name. (Who cannot read the contract or drive due to vision concerns). Although this may come to naught, I want to register this complaint against Derrick Dodge as I cannot fathom how the sales team could possibly have allowed this deal to progress. It would be very obvious to anyone with character that my Father is not able to make good decisions and my Mother has little or no idea what the implications of signing for my father were. Result: My parents have a car stuck on their driveway which is no good to them and rapidly losing value. AND an outstanding amount owed of $27,000. I don't anticipate any magical solutions. I do however desire that this company is noted as having done a 'Legal' deal that no-one with any character at all would have done. I thank you for allowing this to be submitted. More

No communication, all sales crap, terrible!!!! Same crap of save you money on your payments and such. Well it was like that conversation never happened, as it was pressure to come to the dealership etc etc. I said no, I know what I want and if you have it or can get it and have me approved then I will come in to sign and drive away. Again it was like I was not speaking or talking to a rock. I advised again that I am not interested in any xx and give me an answer or not. So that went to the next level that they were offering me every other model that was close to what I wanted but that was in their inventory. Once again they were not listening as I understand you want to sell your stock, but when a customer doesn't want something then move on already. So since the female inside sales rep was unable to sucker me in, a new sales person, male this time is to help me cause she is new....lol.....yeah ok. So start from the beginning again and going through the same crappy roller coaster as before. Finally it was going to Finance. Finance guy Mike called me and we chatted and he was to get back to me, and haven't heard anything yet and it has been now over a month. No call from the sales person no call from finance or a manager, nothing. It is like nothing ever happened and that all of that was a nightmare. Ok so assuming I didn't get approved, or did anyone even do anything? The stupid thing is this is the second time I went through this and should have learned the first time. What a regret it is to have to tell people that I bought a truck there as my first experience was not great to begin with, then xxxxty service as soon as they sell you the truck, and the list goes on. Just happy that I love my truck and another dealership can get my business every two years that I change vehicles. I have 5 friends/employees that have now bought dodges from someone else due to my experience. I laugh on how I haven't even received a callback for over a month, how terrible is that!!! More

When I checked if the invitation still holds I found that the car they offered was the most simplistic with not much of extra add ons. This was not written on the letter. When I asked at least to have with one step up,I was asked to add $200 extra to my current monthly payment. When I asked why the letter was not honoured, their response is that it does not make any logical sense for me to expect a decent car for the used car that I am trading of. Other irritants: then when I am clear I am not going for the increase in my payments which is against the essence of their letter they went on with another offer which they will be happy to trade with same as my car but newer. When I went to the dealership there seems to be they are oblivious to the letter , as if it did not come from them- computer generated.?over all bad experience They waist so much of my precious time talking and passing between so called managers-how easy would have been to talk and finish with one person? instead of repeating yourself with so many sales pple and each trying to make you understand what you could not see about the "good offer" . And took forever to come up with the answer of the letter,as they ask you first to give them driving license, registration of my car, then they produce bill of sale... Take home lesson, you receive any letter from these guys throw it in garbage and continue with your other daily valuable errands More
Horrible experience I have purchased 2 vehicles from this dealership and even made referrals there. Was a big supporter until i went to make use of the tire warranty i purchased when i bought my new vehicle. There are conditions on the warranty that made me think maybe the repair wouldn't be covered so i asked when i booked my appointment. The lady told me the service would be covered. When i got there for my appointment i was told i didn't have an appointment and that my warranty didn't cover the repair and there wasn't anything to discuss it was clearly written on the paper and he walked away. When i tried to contact the dealership to discuss this i got no calls back. What's worse is that the service advisor who tried to help was nice and felt terrible but his assistant manager on duth (Brian) wasn't open to discussion. One star is being generous as i can't give them no stars. More

Service & Lies Bought 2 trucks from Derek Dodge and the service was so bad that I would not even tell my worst enemy to tell there. First truck no even 30 days ol Bought 2 trucks from Derek Dodge and the service was so bad that I would not even tell my worst enemy to tell there. First truck no even 30 days old and transmisson goes and yes they said they did a vehicle inspection... and when we called on it they said "no 30 day warrenty like other dealerships and that we were told "to bad deal with it not our proble,. Then my husband bought a truck (not sure why he would deal with them again) and he put money down so that no one would drive the vehicle and the saleman took the vehicle out for the weekend damaged it and then tried to repair it with bondo and there is still a dent in the back of the pick up truck box. At first the owner of Derek dodge said no problem that he would have it fixed correct but when we went to go and pick it up there were more scratches and the dent in the box was still there but Richard the owner was in a hurry to go for lunch and said to my husband good enough take it..... NEVER EVER DEAL WITH DEREK DODGE BAD BAD SERVICE AND LIES ..... PLUS THEY SAY TO LEAVE A REVIEW ON THIER WEBSITE, BUT IT IS ONLY FOR EMPLOYEES SO YOU CAN NOT SEE HOW BAD THEY REALLY ARE ....... More

It was the second time we have purchased a vehicle at Derrick Dodge and we would definitely purchase one there again because of Kris Zielinski!!! He was absolutely the BEST salesperson we have ever dealt with!!! We have purchased many used vehicles before, and my husband has worked at a car dealer as a mechanic. We have never seen anyone so hardworking and helpful as Kris! We came from out of town and had limited time to look at the car and he came through!!! We would definitely buy a car from Kris again!!!! Thanks you Kris for going above and beyond with the cars delivery! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Charger!!!!! More

Overly strong sales pitch, but quality service. I am a younger insurance broker (DOB 1987), but I have worked in several offices over the course of my working life and I found the service at the use I am a younger insurance broker (DOB 1987), but I have worked in several offices over the course of my working life and I found the service at the used vehicle centre of Derrick Dodge to be professional in the upmost. I work and live about an hour and a half outside of Edmonton, and they fit me in to test and later purchase the vehicle in the evening (in one instance working past the shut down time of 9pm). My own experience might be biased in that I am a highly organized individual who had his appointments, insurance, registration, payment, and other minutia prepared, but why should anybody make excuses for such an important decision and possible purchase? I bought a used 2009 Jeep Patriot. Listed price on the internet was 13999, but it ended up costing me 17728 after taxes, fees, and a 36 month Superior Wrap S.A.L. warranty. Considering how the warranty amounts to an extra 3000 or so It was a bit of a shock, but I know I will get that back as I will be properly servicing the vehicle at a nearby dealership. The guys at the dealership fought hard for the sale because I happen to be a picky jerk who reads the fine print. I took my time, had a knowledgeable friend test drive the vehicle and ask questions about the mechanical side of things, and then got the sales guys to wave a few fees because I paid up front and bargained on the price with the offer that I would purchase extended warranty provided they gave me a break on the final price. They also told me that they were not doing this because I paid up front, but I believe it made my bargaining position a bit more favourable. The pressure they put on clients to buy their wares is pretty high, but a sensible customer who looks into this rationally might enjoy a pleasant experience. I work in a similar industry, where irritable people will scream at you for increases in insurance premiums, and then come crying to you when they crash their truck into someone and have to get a "Free" new vehicle. If you want to objectively value the service you are receiving, take a good hard look at the information you are "broadcasting" as a consumer. Transactions are two way streets, and I found their service excellent. More
