Originally from Eastern Washington, grew up on a farm and later as a Navy dependent. Served in the US Air Force as an accountant. Began as a service porter in Seattle WA., practiced as a warranty administrator, assistant service manager and as a service manager at two stores with the last one for fifteen years. Have three daughters and a son, with my son and youngest daughter playing sports for Prosper schools. My wife of eighteen years is also in the automotive business and works for one of our competitors.

My Pruis battery (not the hybrid battery, but the small one that controls the dashboard) needed to be replaced. After it was replaced, many of the controls on the dashboard, including the date and calendar one that controls the dashboard) needed to be replaced. After it was replaced, many of the controls on the dashboard, including the date and calendar, were incorrect. A person I spoke with later said the service people did not know how to reset these things. A couple of months later, the replaced battery (under warranty) also went kaput. Toyota of McKinney replaced it. Afterwards, a window control did not work, and my side sensors did not work. When I took my car in to have the sensors looked at, I was told it would cost $179 for the service department to look at it, and $399 to replace (I supposed each one...there were four of them not working). Being retired, and unable to afford such an expense, I just said, no thanks. My husband then started researching, and the entire problem was that these things were not reset by the service department. I could have been out major $$ if my husband had not figured this out and reset these issues himself. I generally love Toyota of McKinney, but I hope management will provide some training to their service people on how to reset a hybrid cars when a battery is replaced. By the way, I love how friendly the greeters are, especially Robert. More
