An experience that far exceeded my expectations! Truth be told, I really wanted to buy myself a Ford Fusion Hybrid. After visiting Rizza Ford down the street and test driving three different vehicles Truth be told, I really wanted to buy myself a Ford Fusion Hybrid. After visiting Rizza Ford down the street and test driving three different vehicles, I decided to stop at Community Honda for a few minutes just to compare vehicles. I intended on being there for 10 minutes at the very most. Again, I was really set on a Ford. My goal was to find a cool/sporty but affordable hybrid, and I thought the Fusion was the car for me. We walked around the lot at Community Honda looking at mostly Accords and Civics. We were greeted by Stefan, who spoke to us about my array of options. I took an Accord for a test drive and was pleasantly surprised by its size, look, feel, and cost. Just for comparison, I asked to see an Accord Hybrid. As we walked to the car, I noticed that workers were moving some new cars around the lot. These were the brand new 2019 Insights that Community Honda received for the first time just a few hours before. I was instantly drawn to the Insight because it was exactly what I was looking for in my search: a cool, sporty hybrid that's affordable. Many compare it to the Civic Hybrid that is no longer made. Stefan let me take the car around the lot even though it didn't have gas or a fuse (for the display). The blue Touring model that I "drove" had only 2 miles on it. I was really pleased with everything the car had to offer. Not only is it cheaper than the Fusion, but it also gets better gas mileage. The Touring model is very sleek and comes with a ton of great features, yet still averages out at 48 mpg combined. The LX and EX models have slightly higher mpg's. I returned to Community Honda the next day and spoke with both Stefan and Ryan about my fondness for the Insight. After doing more thinking and research, I knew it was the car for me. I took it for a real test drive and was sold. Stefan and Ryan worked with me to make sure that I was completely satisfied with all aspects of the purchase. They were extremely fair with negotiations. I brought along my dad who's had a long career in sales and is very experienced when it comes to car shopping, and he admitted how surprised he was with how smooth things went the entire way. We were honestly shocked by how easy it was to work with these guys. It was far from a "stereotypical" experience at a car dealership. I loved the car but also wanted to make sure that everything lined up from a financial standpoint, and truthfully we got the exact deal that we were hoping to get to. I purchased my blue 2019 Honda Insight Touring and cannot be happier with the purchase. According to the team, I was one of the first folks in the entire Midwest to purchase the vehicle. I cannot thank Stefan, Ryan, and Community Honda enough for the pleasant experience. I went from having no intentions of buying a Honda to writing a glowing review like this one.
