We went to Dana to look at a Maverick Truck and was told it could take up to a year due to COVID delays and part shortages. Even knowing that we (my daughter and I) decided to place an order as she really l it could take up to a year due to COVID delays and part shortages. Even knowing that we (my daughter and I) decided to place an order as she really liked the new Maverick design. We were very surprised when a manager,during one of my weekly calls informed us that there was a similar truck recently received but was available as a cancelled order. We went to the dealership and without any delay we quickly walked through all the steps and drove the vehicle off the lot. Stop reparing 'clunkers' due to baseless claims that new cars are so expensive or dealers are "way over sticker". I found both untrue and most importantly, my family is in a brand new car. From a financial point of view, it made so much sense, I bought two. The best time to buy a new car is when you are throwing good money after bad, drown all other noise out. If your situation matches this criteria, you are NOT going to find a better place on SI then Dana. *No info off island, so I won't speak to what I don't know. You don't have to believe me. Go jockey down to Hylan Blvd and pl in and out of 4 driveways because you can figure who is who in that whole 2lbs of ham in a 1lb bag....it's medically unhealthy! Pull into Dana, no confusion, plenty of parking and unparalleled inventory. Someone is assigned to you and will work through whether fast or taking time. Finance is right there as well as insurance, it's like buying a pizza. The deals are fair for both sides, service is great and you will find a car you love without settling. Stop listening to your mechanic or your neighbor [who wouldn't spend 50 cents to watch the Statue of Liberty run across NY harbor, with all their tales of woe. All nonsense!
