Dealership sold me an unsafe car with many problems We bought a 2008 Acura RDX from this dealership because we thought that if we used an Acura dealership of this size and the car had been maintained w We bought a 2008 Acura RDX from this dealership because we thought that if we used an Acura dealership of this size and the car had been maintained with them that it would be a safe bet. We were not able to see the car in person, we live in the Virgin Islands, and were having it shipped to us for our 16 yr old. We explained that we needed a reliable, safe car for a new driver and even informed the salesperson that if there was something to repair that we would pay for it and have it done at the dealership before it shipped. Our salesperson, Ryan Reeves, showed us a video of the car and assured us that everything was ok. We received the car, 2 weeks later than they were supposed to ship it, and drove it home. As soon as we opened the door we realized that the entire headliner was falling down and had been tacked up with regular office staples just to keep it from falling on your head. So we figured if that was the biggest problem, fine. No one let us know about something so obvious, but fine. That night we took the car for a short drive so that my daughter could test it out. Within 5 minutes, a warning light came on, the car overheated-steam coming from under the hood, and the car shut off in the road. When we got out there was coolant all over the road. As we are standing there, waiting for help, we realize that the front headlight on the passenger's side is not working. We got help, got the car home, and then the fun began. Upon a closer inspection, the following day, we discovered a list of problems, some major, some just annoying, but none disclosed prior to the sale of the vehicle. The most dangerous problem, which makes the car unsafe to drive and legally should have not allowed the car be sold is the headlight itself. We had known that the car had been in a small collision and that the headlight had been repaired, but we did not realized that it had not been repaired well and basically had been patched together in a way that if you go over one big bump the whole thing falls out. Two connectors are broken and the two separate parts of the assembly are held together by two, grey wood screws. We replaced the bulb in the low beam that is not working and it is still not working. The car cannot be driven or get an inspection sticker and in the State of Florida should not have been sold because it is an unsafe vehicle!! The story is long so I will list the rest of the issues... 1. Headlight- read above-$$?? 2. Battery- died within a day of getting the car, unable to be recharged, new battery- $160 3. Broken Radiator Cooling Fan/Coolant- the overheating problem- $140 4. Car came with no fluids... Oil when drained only had 3.5 quarts and was black, old- Car took 5 when changed, had to fill break and power steering fluids too 5. Air Filter housing-2 out of 4 bolts are missing (They claimed that the delay in shipment was that they were waiting for a filter???, which one? Not the oil-not changed, not air-missing bolts??) 6. Headliner- We replaced it ourselves-$100 plus a day of labor 7. Cargo area cover missing 8. Driver side visor broken and obstructing windshield-$40, not expensive but annoying and something that they could have fixed!! That is it so far. There may be more. I called, texted, and emailed the salesperson, RYAN REEVES, called the used car manager and left several messages and sent a detailed email to the General Manager, LARRY SCHLOSSBERG, and not one person will return our communications. Once they got rid of the car and took our money they didn't care. We work hard, have gotten through two Cat 5 hurricanes, saved for a car for our daughter for her 16th birthday, hoping to have her in a safe car, and we instead got an undrivable, unsafe, money pit!! More

Make business with this dealer when I contacted the dealer and I spoke with the sales person to tell what I want and the price I want to pay , he was very honest and strait forward when I contacted the dealer and I spoke with the sales person to tell what I want and the price I want to pay , he was very honest and strait forward , never tried to push me to get the car . From the general manager to the sales people to the finance manager and to the service personnel, it is it top notch establishment. I bought a car there this week and I bought one there 2016. Obviously I could’ve done business elsewhere but chose Acura Pembroke Pines for many reasons. Trust me it’s worth the drive from anywhere. Paul B More
