poor customer service and unethical business practices On 2/29/2020 I purchased a new 2020 RDX from Acura of Pembroke Pines. As part of this deal, I returned my leased 2017 TLX to them. Working with Ryan On 2/29/2020 I purchased a new 2020 RDX from Acura of Pembroke Pines. As part of this deal, I returned my leased 2017 TLX to them. Working with Ryan Reeves and Sean Bradford from the sales team, we negotiated that no fees or remaining payments would be due on the lease as part of the new vehicle purchase agreement. The contract on the 2020 RDX clearly lists 0 due on the lease turn-in. On 5/20/2020 I received a call from Acura Finance stating that a balance of $1,838.42 was due. I told Acura Finance that the Acura of Pembroke Pines had accepted return of the leased vehicle and that the new purchase contract clearly stated no additional payments were due from me on the leased vehicle. Acura Finance stated flatly that they did not care and that I needed to work directly with the dealership to have them actually follow through on their commitment to take care of this. From May 20th through June 8th, I made over a dozen calls and sent 4 emails to Larry Schlossberg (General Manager), Doug Campbell (Finance Manager), Sean Bradford (sales), and Ryan Reeves (sales). None have resolved the issue and most have not even had the minimum courtesy to return my calls. There was only one response to one of the emails from Doug Campbell on 5/26/2020 who stated that the general sales manager would be taking care of this. Otherwise there was no other response to any emails and clearly no follow through. This behavior is indistinguishable from a bait-and-switch tactic where the company tries to retroactively change the deal to profit more at the expense of the customer. There is a complete failure of customer service from the General Manager all the way down to the sales team. There are numerous complaints similar to this on the BBB website naming many of the same individuals acting in exactly the same fashion towards customers. Where is the accountability? More
