traded in my vehicle on August 2, 2025 at Empire Ford of New Bedford and provided a 10 day pay off notice from Capital One. The dealership was supposed to provide payment to close out the loan on the vehicl New Bedford and provided a 10 day pay off notice from Capital One. The dealership was supposed to provide payment to close out the loan on the vehicle I traded in within that 10 day period and they did not. I attempted to call the dealership with Capital One on a conference call and I was bounced to voice mail. Capital One stated they still require payment to close the account. I found out from Capital One that they offered to finance my new vehicle with a 6% APR with a 595 per month payment rate, however, the dealership financed me through 5/3 Bank with a 12.99 % APR with a 761.95 per month payment rate for 84 months. The dealership told me that Capital Onedeclined to finance me which is not the case. I previously had done the dealership's online calculator for financing and was quoted with a $461 per month payment rate. Talk about deceptive business practices. I will never do business with Empire Ford of New Bedford again. More
